That thermistor is shorting on the coils - insulate it before putting it on top of the coils, not in them.

I have recently purchased a rv travel trailer and noticed the a/c sometimes trips breaker. Fan runs fine assuming it's compressor sometimes draws 45 amps and other times runs fine.

Yes, or it can need to be recharged. It's been a while since I worked on RV'S but I think they run off an ammonia system and makes them a little weird to work on from the DIYers perspective. I'd suggest have it serviced at an RV place. Good luck.

On my 9 hp onan genset it runs fine but the 20 amp breaker on makes it shut down is there short or abad breaker

To determine if it is from the breaker use a

Tong Tester

These would indicate what current is being consumed by the load.

What causes an ac unit to pull too many amps and then pops the breaker

A few things to check . Incoming voltage, unit is clean and not overworking due to debris/dirt in evaporator and condenser coils. If it trips the breaker when compressor kicking in it may be a faulty compressor start capacitor. When does it appear to happen most times?

I have a FEMA camper and my rooftop A/C makes a humming sound with no air flow. what do you think ?

It seems like the blower motorr is not kicking in. Turn breaker OFF, remove the grill, check that electrical connections are nice and tight, and turn breaker back ON, start unit and see if evaporator coil is gatting cold, if so, Turn Breaker off, remove blower motor capacitor and test it, if capacitor OK, blower motor needs to be replaced.

My a/c comes on fine; however, if the fan is on low it kicks the circuit breaker after a couple minutes. It works fine on high.

Feel the compressor it may be getting hot and the increased
air flow on high may cool it somewhat.
If so compressor problem or much slowed fan
Check air volume on low.

The breaker on my RV a/c blows after three minutes. any suggestions on what to look at. it is about 115-120 degrees outside. the RV is a 30 amp system.

First thing to check is how much voltage your actually getting to the unit. Fan comes on good, then you hear compressor shortly after is that correct, then run for 3 minutes then kicks breaker out, is that correct?. Have you tried shutting everything else off in trailer temporarily to see if it will stay going longer? When was the last time unit had a good service cleaning as in evaporator & condensor coils & fins?

Portable generator pops breaker when temp is over 75 degrees

I take it you have RV plugged into generator. Hopefully direct with no extension cords. Are you using a 30 to 15 amp adapter to plug into generator? What is the rating of the breaker on the generator that keeps tripping, suspect it's only 15 amp?

Blower wont come on

If the blower never tries to come on, then that is why it is tripping the breaker. If the breaker is tripping while the entire unit is running, try cleaning the condenser coil. Go on top of the unit and remove the AC shroud. With a water hose, gently rinse the condenser coil out from the rear. Continue doing this until the water that flows is clear. This should help with the breaker problem, if it does not, then the fan motor is overheating and causing the amperage to go up. What size of breaker is the unit on? Does it trip mainly on hot days? If so then it is the fact that the condenser is dirty.
