INNO3D 8800GT OC OVERCLOCKED EDITION (FAULTY)

I have seen the above detailed graphic card for sale quite cheap, the seller says the card boots up and displays image, but the image has white lines across the screen. Is this a problem with the card or is it something else??? & is this repairable???

This may not be much of a solution but it seems odd that a video card would have some white lines gong across the screen. I would say its a driver error or the monitor is busted. Only way to tell is if another monitor is used on the system.

OC problem - boots into black screen after botched OC

Hello booting to safe mode is by pressing the F8 button
while you boot
And select one of the boot options useualy boot with network support. Out of safe mode is just to reboot.

Try to set the graphic settings back to factory specs.
If you still have black screen you might have burned the gpu chip
and the graphic card must be renewed.

If you have any luck try to renew the driver from here:

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonaiw_vista64.aspx

This is the windows 7 driver 64 bit.

If you are running another windows system select it here:

Hope this will help you

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps

I don't think you'll be able to. Most laptops, particularly the older ones, don't have user changeable graphics cards. On these models the only way to change it is to change the whole motherboard, this will work if you need to replace faulty graphics, but If you want to upgrade your system then it'll only work if your model was shipped with two or more different graphics chipsets.

8800gt wont boot my 8800gtx will so it not power related please help

Hello there, I am the Expert that will be helping you today. My name is damnor01.

Welcome to Fixya.
As your 8800GTX boots fine and your 8800GT does not boot one would say that your 8800GT is faulty.

How faulty one does not know, does the fan spin? If so then there is some life left in it.
A technician might replace the capacitors for a fee, this may get it working again.

There is not much else on can do but give it to a computer technician to try and repair it.

Regards

BFG nvidia 6200 oc(overclocked) not showing bios

Your PC is still using your old graphics processor to boot up.
To change this turn your PC off. Hook you monitor up to the old display port. Turn your PC on and press F10 to enter the BIOS.
Select Peripherals > Int Graphics Processor and set it to PCI.
Save and exit. Turn your PC of, hook to monitor back to your new graphics card and you're all set!

BTW, 200 watts in plenty for that PCI card. nVidia always suggests more than you need to be safe. I had that same PC and card : D
Be sure to check out the amazing Z-Tweaked 82.12 drivers for that card (XP, or forced on vista and win7). The 185.81 by side are a step down but still very good (vista win7).

When i boot the screen colour goes off

Try it with another monitor if possible and see if the colour gets messed up with that screen as well. If you cannot try that, visit

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

And get the correct and newest drivers for your 8800GT. Select the right operating system and install them. It should work. If not, let me know!

MSI 8800GT freeze

i think the 8800 might have been overclocked either in factory or by you personally. this leads to freezing occasionally. other than that is temperature (check fan settings). finally if your still having problems try exchanging the card for another, it'll probably have been because of hardware defects. it happens.

hopefully that helps.
