I have a DMC FZ8 camera which came with PHOTOfunSTUDIO viewer 1.2E. This worked fine on my old computer running Windows xp but keeps shutting down on my new computer running Windows 7. Is there a download to update for compatability with this o.s.

Panasonic DMC-ZS5 How to download pictures? Equipment needed ?

If you want to use a computer to read the internal memory or the SD card in the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS5, you will need the correct USB cable, which is an 8-pin micro USB (M) to USB A cable, . (One example: https://www.amazon.com/dCables-Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-ZS5-Cable/dp/B00448MAWK ) Then ensure that the camera is fully charged or is getting additional power (AC adapter or DC coupler). After connecting the camera to the computer, you should be able to transfer files from File Explorer (Windows) or the Desktop (Mac). This may depend on your OS, see page 140 of the Advanced Features Manual for the supported OS versions. (Check Windows compatibility for later Windows version compatibility.)

With Windows XP, Vista or 7, you can also use the PhotoFunStudio that came on the CD with the camera. There is an update to the software here: http://av.jpn.support.panasonic.com/support/global/cs/soft/download/pfs50.html . See the manual for using the PhotoFunStudio software.

The direct link to the Advanced Feature manual is ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/camera/om/dmc-zs7_adv_en_om.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Can't download photos from Panasonic Lumix ZS30 camera to pc with Windows XP Media Center edition

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa:

I have this camera, but installation CD with Photo Fun Studio viewer is lost. But I need Photo Fun Studio viewer. Where I can download this software.

Difficult to find anything, but perhaps you try to download and instal an update of PhotofunSTUDIO via this link?

Not sure you can install this, if you don't have a registration, but perhaps the type and serial number is enough.

Link to PhotofunSTUDIO update.

While I can shoot video with my DMC-ZR3, and watch them on the camera, I seem to be incapable of transferring the video to my computer - a run of the mill Dell laptop running on Windows 7. It's as if...

If you are shooting in avchd lite, you must use photofunstudio to work with them. Another way to download videos....create a folder on your desktop....use a cardreader to download to the folder....import them to photofunstudio. Or....just shoot videos in Motion JPEG instead. typrice_205.jpg
