Please refer to the User Manual for the HP Mini Netbook, located here:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01657997.pdf

Specifically, take a look at page 25, "Connecting to a wireless network". At the bottom of this page, if you are seeing the icon listed as Wireless (disconnected), this means the wireless switch on your Mini is turned off. To turn it back on, find the small slider button on the front of your Mini with the wireless antenna icon next to it, and slide it. This should activate your wireless card, and if you have a wireless network in range it should identify it shortly after.

If your wireless card is already on, and it cannot find your wireless network signal, you can try either (1) restarting your router, or (2) visit the HP Support page for the Mini 1115NR, select your version of Windows installed on the Mini, then download and install the latest wireless networking drivers.

  • Notebook display (default)
  • External monitor (if connected)
  • Both the notebook display and the external monitor (if an external monitor is connected)
F7 decrease the display brightness. F8 increase the display brightness. F9 play or pause a CD or DVD. F10 stop a CD or DVD. F11 play the previous track a CD or DVD. F12 play the next track of a CD or DVD. Scroll turn on Num Lock so you can use the numeric keypad. Press this key combination again to turn off Num Lock. I moved and trying to get my wireless going again to my lap top. I have my internet connection hooked up but don't know what to do next.

Here's how to get the router communicating with your modem.
You stated you've got internet hooked up, so I'll assume it's working..

So here's the procedure:
1. Turn off your modem (you can leave it connected .. just turn it off.
2. Turn off computer, router and any printer.
3. Make sure you've got a ethernet cable connected between your modem and wifi router.
4. Turn on the power to your Router ONLY. and let it boot up.
5. Now turn on your modem and let it boot up.. it will find your wifi router and all lights should lite on the modem.
6. Turn on your computer and it should find the wifi signal and you should be ready to go!
Keep these instructions and follow this procedure if you have a power outage... the sequence of events is the key.
let me know if I can assist you further!

My girlfriend purchased an Asus Eee notebook lately, she seems not being able to connect to the internet at all. The starnge thing about all this is that she says the firewall doesn't let her to connect...

Does she connect via wireless or cable if it's wireless then make sure the wireless swirch is on, it can be pressed on the laptop itself.
If using cable try to reset the internet modem by unplugging it from the mains for about 5 minutes and then try again.
This can also help with the wireless problem too.

Please Rate answer if it worked if not let us know
