Re: WINDOWS XP SOUND DRIVER INSTALLATION
I have to know some information about your computer before I can find the sound driver. Please tell me what mother board you have. Is the sound on-board or is there a separate sound card?
I can help you find this information if you do not know. Come back to me with the answers.

Please try several things: 1. Try to delete your device from device manager if it exists there: right click on "My Computer" -> Manage -> device manager. Then - right click -> Scan for hardware changes, insert media with your driver software and/or let windows automatically search for driver. 2. Try to reboot in Save mode (reboot, press F8 until booting mode selection appears and choose save mode) and install driver in save mode. 3. If none of above helps - try to update your Windows XP and then try to install driver. 4. Try to change audio adapter physical slot - open your PC and just insert it to other PCI slot (also - de-dust your slots before :) ). 5. Try to unpack driver and manually select it during windows driver installation process (choose not to connect to internet when wizard asks -> Install from a specific location -> Don't search I will choose the driver to install -> Have disk -> browse -> select .inf file and click ok).

The most common solution was this: open device manager click
"system devices" disable "microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition
audio" uninstall "UAA bus driver" make rescan devices (Note: Not all
had this step. You may want to skip it.) D.W. install realtek driver
the realtek driver includes the UAA driver too.Hope this
