Our dog chewed through the wires that i believe run to the thermostat, tried to reconnect the wires and still not running, also tried new fuses and still nothing, just wondering if another part needed to be replaced or if chewing through the wires would short out the ac, any advice would help thanks.....

Shorting the wires usually just blows the fuse on the control board in the inside unit. BUT there is a chance the contactor coil was shorted out as well. Will the inside fan come on if placed in the ON position but the system switch in OFF ? If not check the transformer in the cabinet of inside unit.

I need wire diagram for 40AQ030300BB carrier unit

you have 24 volt across both terminals of contactor coil? if not and condenser is still running then you have a stuck contactor. also this is a heat pump so you have 24v and common going to out side unit and rodents or dogs may have chewed up wire and causing a short making connection and this would have blew transformer. FYI installing a 3 amp car fuse(spade type) installed in line of 24v coming off transformer will protect transformer as well as other components. your T-Stat may be defective as well.

Furnice air blows, but my ac unit outside want cut on

if the inside unit is running but the outside unit isn't - I would check the fuses or breaker. I suspect you have a blown fuse or a tripped breaker.
What is also possible is that the 'low voltage' thermostat wire (coming from the thermostat inside the house) has been cut - possibly by a lawn mower or weed eater - or chewed into by a dog.
If this is the case - you easily splice (with all power off) the wires back together using the color of the individual wires.

Outside unit won't come on. Drain pas appears dry/.

if nothing comes on (on the outside unit) when you turn on AC (and the inside unit runs ok) I would check the fuses and/or the breaker for the outside unit. I would suspect a fuse blown or a breaker tripped. It's also possible that your 'low voltage' (24V) thermostat wire has been cut (by lawn mower) or chewed into (by dog). If the problem is the low voltage wire you can easily splice it back together - just be sure all power is off.

My dog chewed the thermostat wire by the compressor, i replaced the chewed wire now the thermostat won't turn on, therefore; no ac.. could it have blown a fuse? if so, where are they?

Either you have blown the low voltage fuse located inside the air handler (if there is one) or you have blown the transformer feeding the low voltage control wiring.

If the transformer is blown due to no fuse installed, I would recommend installing a low voltage 3A fuse in line with the red terminal coming off the transformer. This will protect the transformer in the future.

Can't get my programable thermostat

when the dog chewed on the wires were there any bare spots where the wires could touch one another, if so the transformer is is probably bad or if there's a fuse in the 24 volt line then it is bad.

DOG CHEWED THE THERMOSTAT WIRE RUNNING FROM THE HOUSE TO THE AIR CONDITIONER UNIT

Sometimes you can just turn off the power and cut out the bad spot and strip back the outer casing, match the colors and wire nut it back together. You need to be careful so that the new connection is not accessable to the bad weather. If you cannot protect the wire from the wet weather you should just replace the wire by running new.

My dog chewed up wiring on outside unit and i dont know where they hook up it is a 4 wire set up with red white blue and green large ac unit dog chewed thru little brown wire leading to house and now ac...

That wire is to your thermostat which of course turns the A/C on/off. One thing you can do is to splice the wire back together w/ small wire nuts (available at hardware store or wal-mart, and just hook it up color to color and then tape w/ electrical tape. Make sure you turn your breaker off and turn off the thermostat control.

Yes, the wires for your thermostat are low voltage 24volts, and there is a fuse that protects it, now if the fuse is gone, nothing will work until you separate the wires and put a new fuse, the fuse is inside the ac unit, if you cant find it, that means it doesnt have one. there for need to check voltage at the transformer.
