SOURCE: What are the compression settings for a 2004

Compression settings are adjusted in conjunction with rebound settings AFTER the rear spring pre-load/sag is properly set. The springs on both these bikes are too soft for 230-235 lbs. so they would need to be replaced with the correct stiffer spring rates to properly set sag for starters. You can work around this by attempting to set sag near the ballpark and then compensate for this by adjusting the clickers. This requires you to adjust your settings the way pro tuners do - trial and error.

SOURCE: Belt slipping on treadmill

This is caused by one of three problems. First and most likely, the walking belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns. If it takes more than 2 turns then something else is the problem. The second problem that it could be is the drive belt might be loose. To tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down. The third problem that it could be is the walking belt could be worn and need to be replaced. Let me know if you have any questions.

SOURCE: my belt wont rotate

The serial number decal should be in front bottom left hand side on the frame opposite the power cord. I would not worry too much about the serial number that is used for tracking their units. It sounds like the motor control board may have failed, but they may have you do a calibration to see if the board has actually failed.

SOURCE: I am 220 lbs. B/C rider what is a good clicker

set your rear for full comp dampen, and change to a higher oil in the shocks like a 15 or 20 wt and set to full damp. ride and lower the dampening a click at a time until your landings feel soft and smooth. if you are bouncing after landings raise the rebound dampener also.

How do I tighten belt on health rider

Hi There,
Firstly take off the motor cover and check that the motor belt is not slipping when you use the treadmill. If it is not slipping turn the rear roller adjusting bolt 3/4 of a turn clockwise. Retest. If you have to turn it much more than another 1/2 a turn then the machine needs a tech to check over .

Thanks: belt is slipping and I got it used and have used it for 8 years. Possible other problems. I need to remove the deck. Thanks again

hello qp..... the belt is slipping because it is old and stretched. Replace it and you will be good to go. Regarding the deck... you must drop it in order to replace the belt. look under the tractor to see how the deck attaches. do this on a level spot so the tractor won't roll. generally you begin by undoing the belt from the drive wheel in the front and then dropping the front by releasing the mechanism that holds it in place.

the last part is to disconnect the rear. Joe

The belt has slowly moved all the way over to the right and is rubbing up against the right side. How do I adjust the belt back to the middle of the treadmill? It is a Health Rider XL Soft Strider.

There are two allen bolt adjustments on the bottom left of the treadmill as you are facing it to get on. o adjust the side-to-side position, turn one one way and the other the other way.

Healthrider r60 stops when it reaches 4mph.

Unplug unit and remove the motor shroud you will have to do DC Amp Measurement.

Measure on the hot DC lead (usually red) going from the controller to the drive motor. If you have a simple multi-meter with a DC amp test setting the best way to test is to put the meter inline on the red motor lead with alligator clips. If you have a more expensive clamp meter, clamp the meter around the red motor wire. Run the machine at 2.5 MPH without a person on the belt. If the motor and drive system are healthy, you should have a reading in the 2-3 amp range. Then walk on the treadmill at the same speed. With a person of average size (around 200 lbs.) you should have a reading in the 6-8 amp range if the belt is good. The readings will fluctuate more with a load but you are looking for an average reading but you shouldn't see spikes above 10 amps. If the amp readings are high without a load, you could have a problem with high resistance in the motor, a bad bearing, or over-tightened belts. Regular readings without a load but high readings with a load indicate a worn belt and/or deck.
