Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
The following does an NVRAM reset on the PSC 2110 printer. It clears ALL settings including the apge count:
1) turn off and unplug printer
2) Press and hold BOTH the Cancel and Enter buttons
3) Plug printer back in
4) After it cycles, turn printer off and then back on.

My first thought is that the actual ink carriage that your newly purchased inks rest in may be the problem. First thing to do is to check and make sure the new ink cartridges are snapped into the carriage firmly and that the contact circuits on the back are making contact. If you hear them click into place, that is usually a good indicator that they are going in properly.
You could also ask your printer to print a self-cleaning page by right-click on it in your 'Printers & Faxes' panel and selecting properties. Most printer models offer this function (not sure which type of printer you have). Doing this might remove any dried ink from the previous cartridges and allow the printer to properly gauge the ink level of the new ones.
