PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a unique eight digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PIN number to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are then given 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is entered after the 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and will require a new SIM card from your mobile phone provider.
PUK codes can be obtained through the following ways -
The PUK code is in your SIM card documentation Starter Pack.
Contact your mobile phone provider.

My mobile is asking for a PUK code and i don't know anyone with an idea sim how should i find the PUK code for it??
PUK code comes with your phone sim card when you bought it.Try locating where the whole box or package of your phone. Some sims comes with a manual and usually the puk code are written in there..Others comes like a regular size card and you have to detach the sim from there..in this card thee should be two Puk code that is written..

You should call your operator and ask for the PUK, there is no other way. PUK is SIM related, so they will know your PUK code. Don't trying guessing it, you will have to take it to service if you type in a wrong PUK!

You have entered the wrong SIM password so it is locked. You can unlock it easily. You have to call your network service provider and ask for PUK code. They can ask you SIM no. which is printed at the back of SIM card.
Then you can enter the PUK code and use the phone again.
Revert in case of any problem.

Don't worry about it,just contact your Sim card Network Provider and ask for your PUK code,they will verify your Name and Address then they will provide you easily.

Follow these steps to get PUK code

1) Take out the sim card and note down the 16 digit number written on it.
2) Call the customer care of your service provider and ask for PUK code
3) You will be asked for the number written on the SIM
4) After matching the SIM number from their database they will provide you with a new PUK code

Hi,

PIN CODE is SIM dependenet and not phone dependent

PUK code in PIN UNLOCKING CODE, which is required when you give PIN number wrongly for 3 times,
This code is OPERATOR specific and not phone specific and you have to call you operator and get PUK if PIN is blocked...

if you provide PUK code wrongly for 7 time, you sim may become useless, then you have to buy new SIM

NOTE: You should ask your service provider,get the PUK, give the PIN 3 times wrongly and it asks for PUk,provide the PUK and set the new PIN..

hey

the puk code prompt comes up when you have entered the pin code wrong 3 times.

to get the puk code you need to call your phone service provider, the will give it to you, if you try to gess the puk code wrong too many times it will make your ssim card useless, so get the right code from your provider, they are the only ones that have it.

after the puk code it will ask you to enter a new pin code and then confirm the pin code. then the sim will work normally and ask for pin again next time instead of puk, puk will come again if you enter pin wrong 3 times.

Hey i need help
contact your service provider. they will ask u ur phone number or sim serial number, don't enter PUK code urself if u don't know. if PUK is eneterd wrong 10 times then u will loose ur present sim. better is u contact ur service provider only they can avail u PUK number.
