Steps to be followed:
1. check whether audio driver is installed properly ? if not install audio driver & check 2. check audio setting in control panel & confirm 3. connect external speaker in laptop and check whether sound is coming? if sound is coming then ur laptop internal speaker need replacement 4. if there is no sound in external speaker then need to check ur motherboard or sound card. All the best.
I have lenovo notepad 3000n100 with winXP sp2. I downloaded realtek audio from ibm site and installed. Now sound is coming at my output port but the in-built laptop speaker is not giving any sound output. The hardware is ok as the sound was coming at in-built speaker before formatting. The previous audio driver set up file i have lost. Plz help.
yOU THINK?So just do this to confirm that you have done everything right.Do this right click on "MY COMPUTER" select PROPERTIES. Then click on HARDWARE tab and click on DEVICE MANAGER.Now from the list click double-click on SOUND VIDEO AND GAME CONTROLLERS.If you see an exclamation mark next to any device then it means that particular device was not set up correctly.Do this and let me know..And I will guide you further
did you have the laptop/notebook from new if so then you should have had a set-up disc containing all of the drivers needed to activate items such as modems, sound card, graffics card etc.
this is just a simple problem and can be rectified instantly by inserting set-up disc and loading all avaliable drivers!
if no disc avaliable then log onto the toshiba website and download the up to date drivers needed for your laptop/notebook
Sort of confused a bit I understand you buying a new system you say the sound does not come out the rear and centre speakers does the sound come out of any spearkers other than the two you mention if it is then your wirings are wrong if the sound is not coming out of any speakers then its the sound card BUT you will know this immediately you disconnect that system. The sound would be coming out of the laptop ordinaryly? which is it?
