You can release the water by opening out the drain hose at the bottom. It will be neccessary to look under and so make an arrangement to have a good access. The release of the door is possible if you can disengage the safety lock.
Now before this is done plug on and see if the votage is present at the drain pump, if present and the pump is not active, switch off and take out the pump from the clamp setttings. You can find dirt locked into and making it ineffecive.clean well test with voltage before you set it back. However if the pump coils do not show continuity the pump needs to be replaced. If power is not present at the pump then the program controller is faulty.
decide with the options available. Helpful?

Wma over fills on rinse

This is most likely a problem with your drain line. Check to make sure it's not filling with water and that there is a gap around the line in the drain hole to prevent vacuum lock. Give the hose a good shake and see if that dislodges any stuck water.
You could also have something caught in the valve which is preventing it from opening and closing properly.

Washing machine seems to be washing ok but when it comes to the final rinse and spin the soapy water is pouring out of the soap dispenser on the front

this is happening because the machine is not draining the water away fast enough when going into the spin cycle. clean out the filter under the machine, this will solve your problem.

Maytag Washer Not Completely Rinsing

If your washer has an extra rinse button try pushing it. My Maytag refuses to wash unless that button is pushed, so in your case it may not be completing the rinse cycle correctly.

Just a suggestion.
