The heating coils or the contacts have burned out. It is a simple device and you can DIY. Open the panel and look at the switch that contacts when pushed down. This contact could be burned or dirty try to clean and set.
Use a multimeter to check the coils if open find the spot of continuity and join with a resistive wire. It might help to toast for some more time.

I am assuming you have checked the breaker that it is on? Have you tried using it at a different outlet?

It electrically stopped- no blockage or horrid noise just won't work! About 4 years old - and yes I have changed the fuse. Any answers?

have an electrician check the switch on the vac. probably went bad. also look for broken wires or connections.

you have tried a different outlet, right? also inspect power cord for any damage.

If the brush attachment isn't locked into place than the vaccuum will not work make sure it is attached properly.

No power for the vacuum

Hi! I work at repairing Sebos, so can certainly help.  Most probably the cable is damaged, and the two most likely places for that to happen are where it enters the plug and where it enters the rewind mechanism. Before you even think about dismantling the machine to get at that end of things, though, you need to be 100% sure that power is reaching the machine.
I know you've tried a different socket, and that you've changed the fuse (by which I assume you mean the plug-top fuse, and therefore that you're probably in the UK like I am). Good first steps. Checking the integrity of the wire in the cable is a different matter, though. There are inexpensive devices you can buy to check for voltage through normal insulation, but I don't know how deep in to this you want to get...  you've got to be pretty keen (and competent) to think of changing the cable yourself.
If you'd like to post a response, indicating how far you want to go yourself, I can help you get in to the machine if necessary.

No steam from my almost new Polti 2600

It sounds like the solenoid isn,t activating when you pull the trigger which then lets the steam out. It either wants stipping and checking or returning to where it came.

DeWalk DC500 wet/dry vaccum doesn't work

Vacuum works with the battery but does not work with 120 volt. Every time I plug it in it blows the internal fuse. I have replaced the fuse inside the vaccum several times and every time i plug it in it blows. What do you think it could be?

Accidentally plugged into 220 volt outlet

The wiring diagram isn't showing a fuse, but there could be one on one of the circuit boards. Maybe the converter is bad. You will just have to take it apart and look it over. Maybe this pic. will help:
