Check with the different programmes, to make sure when the tripping comes into force. If during the heat wash , then possible shorting in heater but if random please ceck the motor capacitor and change it . I dont think the issue is very much if the machine is running at other times, but if this trips on switch off , it can be easily identified byt a circuit check with a multimeter. maybe motor , capacitor, surge protector. Check this out, Helpful?

Hotpoint Aquarius wm61 trips as soon as its filled with water,if I remove alot of the water it will allow me to spin

If you mean that the machine is tripping the circuit breaker then that is an indication that the water is creating an electrical current path to Earth. The heating element is normally enclosed in a metal sheath but if this is compromised then water will get in and current will then leak to earth, causing the circuit breaker to trip. The heating element can be replaced, but the cause of the damage to the element should also be determined to prevent it happening again. The rotating drum can become partially detached from it's mount and end up hitting the heating element when spinning, causing the element to be damaged. The drum mount (often called a SPIDER) may therefore also need replacing. If you machine was making a lot of knocking noises when in spin cycle then it would certainly indicate a broken mount.

My whirlpool awo3761/s keeps tripping my electricity when water is inside the drum

I would turn off the machine and unplug from the wall. Water is conductive and if it is throwing your switch you need a professional to look at it. Ring your local washing machine mechanic. Electricity and water are just too dangerous. If you keep resetting your switch and trying to run it, just to have it reset again, you can burn out the switch in the board. My husband did that when the kettle kept tripping it. New switch in the board was about $300.00.

You need to check the circuit in the wash cycle. Disconnect the power to the heater coils and see if the fuse trips. Also the voltage at inlet solenoid must be checked when the program cycle is on the wash , is not the program controller board is fault, possible a wrong output from the processor.
You can isolate the circuits, the heater, the motor drive to see if the trip stays. Also check the inlet and the drain pump on a test bench to confirm the working of the valve which will infer the case.

Machine keeps tripping out when starting wash cycle - electrics have been checked by electrician - no problems- have managed to get it to spin but not to wash

Hi

The washing machine is obviously drawing too much current for the breaker to handle. This could be due to the washing machine drawing more that it should or because the breaker cannot handle the current the machine needs, coupled with the other machines on the ring main. If the fuse on the plug of the washing machine does not blow, then it could be that there are too many appliances on the ring main. The fuse on the machine may not blow however, if the breaker has a faster blow time than the fuse in the plug. Try plugging the washing machine into another ring main. Or try plugging out all the other appliances on the same ring main and test it out.

If the ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker) is tripping only when the washing machine is running then something in the machine is faulty.

One common problem is the heating element. Over time they tend to crack and when the water gets in, the ELCB will trip out. This can be problematic to diagnose as offten the element will only trip after a period of heating. Bottom line, if it is tripping the ELCB then it is dangerous and should be fixed before any further use.

My aquairius hotpoint washer dryer wd62 keeps tripping electric why

Remove top cover, and unplug motor, try it, and if it does not trip, then motor is causing prob.
If it still trips, then heater is probably causing problem.
Please rate my advice.
Thanks.

Washer dryer not heating up

both the 'wash' & the 'dryer' have their own heating elements, If the 'wash' completes its full cycle including 'spin', then I suspect this heat element is ok.Re the dryer, most likely the heat element circuit is 'open circuit' somewhere, could be  the element, thermal fuse, thermostat, or a wire burned out

Washer/dryerstops filling

I think that what you're seeing is a faulty water heating element. The element is kept switched off until the pressure switch (the thing on the end of the clear tube) detects that there's enough water in the machine for it to be safe to start heating without burning the element out. If the element is faulty, it will take out your earth leakage trip as soon as the pressure switch applies power(the usual failure mode is pinhole leaks in the element sheath, allowing water in to compromise the powdered mineral insulation inside). Confirm by running few cold wash cycles. If the machine works fine with these, but fails when you have a warm cycle selected, then element it is. The element lives in the bottom of the drum. You should be able to get a new one on the net for under £23. A.
