Possible the inlet valve has given up and is not allowing water in.
Also possible there is a slight leak enough to shut the water off (safety feature) - Check underneath for a float mechanism and any water there.

My new omega washing mashine shows an E2 error code 5 miniutes into the wash how do I fix this?

Hello,

Manufactured by omega washing mashine have an electronic controlpanel that must be unlocked in order to set or make changes to your washingcycle.
E2 indicates a water leak. When a leak occurs, it trips thefloat device by dumping water into the dishwasher's base. The incoming watervalve will be switched off, and the drain pump will turn on until the sump isempty
However, if an error light is blinking on your dishwasher'scontrol panel, the panel must be reset before you can gain access. Blinkinglights on your washer control panel may signal a mechanical problem that needsto be repaired. If the lights continue to blink after you've reset the controlpanel, contact Sears to service omega washing mashine or considertroubleshooting the appliance yourself carefully.Instructions
1 Press and hold the "Heated Dry" button onyour omega washing mashine for four seconds to unlock the dishwasher controlpanel.
2 Press the "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash,""Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" buttons one after theother, in fairly quick succession.
3 Wait for the washer to run a short diagnostic test.
4 Press the "Cancel/Drain" button at the endof the diagnostic test cycle. This should reset the control panel on your omegawashing mashine. Thankfor using fixya.

Dishwasher cycle stops and readout says F2

Hello, welcome to FixYa.
Based on your post, "Asko 1485 Dishwasher. It is showing a F2 code", the good news...It is likely nothing very serious, but the "resolve" requires some investigation on your part.
What the F2 means is the control has indicated a overfill.
**before proceeding turn the dishwasher power off via the home breaker panel, or unplug it from the wall if that is possible...most are hard wired to the home electrical...safety first**
The first thing to do is remove the toe panel/kick plate and inspect the base for water. There will likely be water present.
With the aid of a sponge, towels, or a wet-dry shop vacuum, absorb the water from the base, that should restore normal operation...it should be known that if you leave the unit for a few days, the water in the base will evaporate hence appearing as everything is fine again...if any other problem/leak does exist it will return.
If the unit works fine after resetting the power/breaker and soaking up any water present, it can likely be chalked up to a drain back-up or obstruction in the drain hose or pump... (it could mean a faulty drain pump so you'll need to pay close attention the next few times you run it)
**The float is primarily the last ditch safety to prevent disaster in the event of a overflow, back-flow, or leak underneath the unit and the illuminated F2 letting you know to service or call for service to the unit**
Hope this helps move you forward, or even better resolves the issue altogether. Let me know of course, I will help you move further if necessary. Good luck. Please take a moment to rate my solution and your experience here at FixYa today.

F2 and beeping sound when started

F2 indicates

WATER Leakage - Water is in drip tray

Floater switch (water leakege detector switch) detects water leakage,
then draining pump is switched on for fixed time or until water indicator reports
that mashine is empty depending on model

remember to unplug it from power if any repair is done

Best regards and good luck

Asko 1796 F2 problem

It sound like you have a blocked or a malfunction pump. Remove the pump from the machine and check whether you have a clogged inside the pump or in one of the pipes connected to it. In case all is clean, you should replace the pump.. Good luck !
