I'm having a similar problem with my 4 year-old AirTron (by Honeywell) wall mounted unit. I have two AC\/heater units (upstairs and down stairs). I have been using my heater, intermittently, for 2 months. During that time they were working fine. Just last week and overnight, the display window on the downstaris unit no longer displays anything and the heater went off but the AC has turn on without shutting off. I've turned the AirTron switch to "off" yet the unit did not turn off. The fan switch is on auto. After 2 hours of trying different things without any changes, I turned the circuit breaker off to keep the AC from blowing cold air continously. Any ideas for repair other than calling a technician just yet?

SOURCE: Snowflake blinking and air conditioner won't turn on.

If it is blinking it is in a 5 minute time delay.
It should settle to a steady snowflake after 5 minutes and come on normally.

SOURCE: Have a Bryant AC/Heat pump. Model# 661CJ030-A.

If the compresor doesn't start ,try to put a booster to the capacitor , also check for burned wires at the compresor terminals , if still won't run it is burned out or stuck.

Un plug a/c from wall and remove the screws from the electrical compartment of the unit and locate the thermostat, remove the 2 wires of the thermostat and use ohms meter to check the part for continuity, if you dont have continuity with t-stat turned down below room temp., replace thermostat.Good luck.

What do i do. Im getting 230 volts to unit. Not getting the power light to come on .. the display doesnot appear.

Not sure what power light you are talking about, or what type of HVAC system you have. Though you say that the display does not appear. Is the display on a programmable thermostat? If so, most programmable thermostats use an internal battery for power and not the low voltage side of the air handler. So check your thermostat to see if it does take a battery(s) and try changing them.

FocusPro TH5000 will not cool

Make sure the thermostat is set to "cool" mode. Make sure the thermostat is wired correctly and has fresh batteries in it. Check both the thermostat end and the air handler end of the wires. If All this checks out, the problem is most likely in the air conditioner, not the thermostat.

remove the batteries and turn beakers off to system air handler or furnace. Wait till screen clears so that T-stat will reset. Then re-install batteries and turn breakers to on.

Problem with my Airtron Thermostat

Two things, first go up to the heater and check the fuse inside the heater, looks like a car fuse. If that is not popped, then go outside to your AC unit and pull out the emergency disconnect. Check those fuses with a multimeter. IF you do not get anything replace those fuses, It has nothing at all to do with your thermostat.

Central honeywell air conditioner

Sounds like it may have lost power. Check the breaker and the fuse at the furnace. If they are all in the on position and working then it sounds like you may need a technician. If the display is blank on the thermostat you may also want to replace the batteries.
