You need to have someone from a shop tell you for sure otherwise you could be buying parts you dont need

70 rear projection jvc no picture and bulb ok

Hello, remove the lamp and make sure it didn't go bad. If it's ok the a color wheel or fan would be my next guess, but check the lamp first, I see cheaper lamps that don't match up correctly fail early. let me know what you find...tks

Tv powers on intermittently when the power button is pushed. When it does the tv has sound but no picture.

Hello, first off the set was last made in 2006, so it's 8 years old. Have you checked to see if the lamp is bad? Disregard "Houndog101"'s remarks, they are for an older crt projection tv. If the lamp is ok, it may be the color wheel has failed, a power supply or a bad ballast board, but my first guess would be the lamp part number 915P027010. Let me know what you find on the lamp.....tks

How do you know the solution is "simple"? No always is simple. Bussing is high voltage missing. Like is bad conection to the lamp. Check conections of it.There is some bad about the conections of lamp. I guess.

Green light is on steady and the screen is off

Lamp cannot be tested like a regular bulb--if set shut down you should have some kind of blinking light up front---lamp possible but not likely as it should trigger the lamp light.

Either guess or call an expert to examine it.

I have a model WD-73C9 Mitsubishi. When i turn it on after about 30 sec it turns it self off. I performed the test code with the Imput and Menu buttons and the green light flashed 3-4 could you help with...

On 2006,7 USA models DLP, this means lamp shutting off unexpectedly. Which could be a bad lamp, lamp driver(ballast), or loss of 'on' signal from engine. Lamp or driver are more common. I'd guess ballast if lamp looks good and is newer (less than 1000 hours on it.)

Sound, but no picture.. :(

Could be lamp again since lamp light is on, Mitsubishi's are known to eat lamps. Unplug tv and remove lamp and give it a good looking over. Sometimes the lamp will give you a clue if the glass inside is broken or cloudy the lamp is worn out. But it's not accurate 100% of the time unfortunately. my guess would be the lamp is bad. It would be one of the cheaper fixes for sure.

Hi there i have a sony grand wega kf-42sx300u and the red green on off light started flashing and then the lamp light comes on i guess its just the lamp that needs replacing .. i've had the tv about 6 six...

The lamp is generally rated at 2000 hours so I would say you have done quite well. You must not watch too much TV as that would equate to a little more than 1 hour a day. There are a number of online resources where you can purchase a replacement lamp such as and others. As I recall you will need to remove the lower trim panel to expose the lamp compartment to gain access for replacement. One key to long life on any set that uses a high intensity lamp is to allow the TV to go through its normal "cool down" cycle. Never have your sets AC power interrupted before the set cools down. After the set is shut off the fan keeps running until the unit cools sufficiently. This prolongs the life of the lamp. Some stores would have all their sets on a power strip and cut AC power instantly at the end of the day and consequently replaced many expensive lamps that could have lasted much longer.
