I first ask you where did u buy your dvd player? it sounds like u have a frequency problem. the US uses a frequency called NTSC while countries like the UK uses PAL. if that is the case u need to get a converter

I live and bought the blu ray player in Australia which is region 4 for DVDs. The American DVDs are region 1. My other DVD player just needed a code to let it play for all regions. I was able to find it on the internet, but haven't had any luck finding the code for my blu ray player.

I have a Bluray/DVD reader LG BD650 aquired in Europe and I cannot read DVDs from US and Latin America. How to proceed to either change or remove zone code?

Yeah, the video system in US and Latin America is NTSC, but in Europe is PAL, so when you play DVD from US or Latin America, you need to change the video system from NTSC to PAL.

I have an LG BD370 and it won't play 3 of my dvds, the dvds are fine because I can play them on my other player. Any advice please?

Sounds like your Blu Ray is region coded. You will need to region-free the player so it will play them all. Normally happens with PALS formatting. You need to update the firmware on the device via using an internet connection. Sounds like it's out of date.

Also you may wish to follow the following site post. Excellent tricks to make this device region free.

Pe 705 is saying wrong region when yo try to play a dvd

The solution depends on where you bought your dvd player, certain dvds are released in north america or japan, etc, and they have different 'region codes' - meaning they can only be played by devices that have a matching code. To clarify, if you bought your dvd player in america, chances are you can only play dvds released in north america. My Sony Blu ray can't play normal DVDs in my region - Africa. How do I change the region coding just for DVDs?

It's not possible to change the region code in the Blu-ray Player.

BD media does have region codes. But, unlike current DVD players, the region codes for BD media use letters instead of numbers to indicate a particular zone or region where the discs can be played.

The BD region codes are as follows:
Region A: North America, South America, U.S. Territories, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia

Region B: Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.

Region C: Asia (except for Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia)
