There are two possible causes for this, one your charger is broken, in which case you will need to buy a new one. Hopefully thats the problem, because the only other possibility is that the Charging port is broken, in which case you will have to send it to Sony to repair. However, there is a work around to the second problem. My psp has the ability to charge via its USB port, if you have a compatible USB cable, connect your psp to your computer and see if that will work.

My Psp doesn't work. It won't turn on or charge. The last time it was used was when my sis used it. She said it just "died" Pls help, my parents won't send it to repair or use MY OWN money to...

Try replacing your battery with a new (or a working one) one just to see if it's the culprit. OR try another charger.
Remember that tinkering or trying to hack your PSP, especially its firmware might brick your PSP.

There is no problem with your battery. The PSP battery life is only around 4-6 hours of straight gameplay.

Charge is complete but wont go on wthout power connected

Hi,
I am sorry to say this...but chances are that your battery has malfuntioned or simply can't hold a charge anymore. If you want to be 100% sure try the battery in another PSP...and if it works then there is eomthing wrong with your PSP (this second scenerio is highly unlikely). I recommecnd getting a new battery. Good luck!

Charging a PSP

Sounds like it could be the mains/charger of the psp, have u tried using it on the other psp? If that dont work then it may be the power charging unit of the psp itself, u may have to call Sony and have it replaced
Hope it helps

Psp 2006 battery

You don't have a problem; the seller is an idiot. Leave it plugged in for good measure, but your PSP is fine.

Many products ship with a completely discharged battery (many cellphones, for instance) and they must charge for a long time. PSPs don't; they ship with a partially charged battery.

PSP won't work

Give more details pls.

While charging, it's normal to have a amber light, when the charging finishes, it will turn to green.
