The eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it is your lowest magnification.

Put the eyepiece into the focuser and practice focusing on a distant object during the day time. The image will be upside down. NOTHING is wrong. All astronomical telescopes show upside down images.

You will also need to learn how to polar align the EQ mount. Read my tips on my profile page.

How to use Twinstar Atroquest 8 Reflector telescope? I bought this telescope for my daughters and it did not bring any guide to learn hou to use it.

This is a reflector style telescope. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. Take it outside during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object.

If it is on an EQ mount read my EQ mount tip on my profile page. The scope will need to be polar aligned in order to use it properly if the mount is an equatorial.

Hi glad to see this i found a looks like a 5 in celestron with a wood tripod most parts are there need eye piece and the mirror it looks in to

This is a reflector style telescope. Measure the hole in the focuser-- eyepieces come in 3 sizes-- .965, 1.25, and 2 inch sizes. Buy the correct size. These are sold by many on line retailers, here is one:

Hi I have been given a telescope but no assembly instructions and the only markings on it are "Atlas Explorer" & "D=60MM F=900MM Coated Optics Made in China" Would you know where I...

That is NOT an Atlas EQ-G as your question indicates -- this is an atlas eq-g-

This is a 60mm refractor style telescope imported from China. No one will have a manual for that scope. Try to locate a local Astronomy club and the members will help you assemble it.

Telescope working principle

This is a reflector style telescope. It may also be on an equatorial mount. If it is on an EQ mount the mount must be polar aligned first in order to properly use the telescope. That's why we never recommend an EQ mount to a beginner.

However you can read my tips on EQ mounts on my profile page. AND-- read these:

Could i convert my c8 to a go to computer and what would be involved

No, sorry the old C8 cannot be converted.

You might consider selling the C8 and upgrading to a more recent goto scope, OR deforking the tube, and mounting it on a GOTO mount like the alt az Ioptron Pro, or an EQ mount like this one:

here is the Ioptron:

I picked up a used Meade 114 EQ AS on the off

First go to Meade's manual web site -- look under the REFLECTOR heading and download a manual. Here:
http://www.meade.com/manuals/index.html

Second-- It's NOT ASTROLOGY! It's Astronomy!

Astrology is completely fake and superstitious belief that the planets and stars affect your life!

The MIRROR is on the bottom of the telescope- this is called a REFLECTOR style telescope. The focuser is on the TOP (side) of the telescope. Make sure the focuser end is UP and the mirror is on the bottom pointed toward the GROUND.

I have a Swift short tube catadioptic equitorial reflector telescope Model # 856. It hasn't been usable since it was moved to a new location. It may be the mirror, I don't know. Who repairs these...

This is a small reflector style telescope on an EQ mount.

1. The mount must be polar aligned to Polaris

2. The scope may need to be collimated

Read my Equatorial mount TIP on my profile page that explains how to polar align.

and watch this video that explains collimation:

I can't see any thing it just show looks black

This is a reflector style telescope. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the FOCUSER, point this end UP, remove the dust cap, the large mirror should be down in the bottom.

Go outside during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object. Read my "TIPS" on my profile page.

How would you rate +Venture RX-9 telescope?

If you read down this page there is a manual
http://cs.astronomy.com/asycs/forums/t/30807.aspx

This is a cheaply made in China reflector telescope. It is mounted on a small equatorial mount which is too small to support the tube. It will be very shaky. These scopes appear on Craigslist after the owner determines they are really just a "toy" telescope.

You can do much better for their $249 asking price. Look at a Dobsonian telescope like one of these.

6 inch telescope mirror, 50% larger than the Venture toy telescope

HI All I noticed theres only one way to mount a orion spaceprobe 3 eq telescope onto the tripod. This equatorial reflector seems like its mounted upside down when tring to view things. Tech support is gone...

Not upside down---

The eyepiece and focuser is on the FRONT of the telescope. Light enters the tube-- hits the mirror on the bottom-- and bounces back up to the small secondary mirror which reflects it out to the eyepiece.

It's called a Newtonian design--
