I cant recive pc sound. As i repair my PC window xp and instal drivers

Determine the manufacturer of your sound board (from Windows Device Manager, or your machine's manuals), and download the drivers directly from them.

If you have an OEM recovery partition, all your drivers should be there on that partition.

Pay attention to the volume control settings (Right click on the speaker icon in the try, then select Adjust audio properties, or open Control Panel, then double click on Sound and Audio Devices), then make the necessary adjustments.

Analog audio signal applied to "line input" jack on audio card produces no audio out (Dell 8300)

Ok, i'm not sure what version of windows you are running but on my windows xp machine I right click on my volume icon (little speaker) on the right side of the start bar on bottom of screen. Then click 'open volume control' , This will open up 'play control' window. In this window you now want to click 'options' in the upper left corner and select properties from the drop down menu. This will open up a second window titled 'Properties', near the top of this windows there is a section titled 'Adjust volume for', under this select the 'Recording' option. This will change the list of volume controls to your computers audio inputs. Make sure the input you are trying to use has a check mark next to it then click 'OK' on the bottom right of the 'Properties' window. The 'Properties' windows will close and the Play control window will now have the title 'Record control'. Make sure any inputs you want to use are turned up and there is a check mark next to the 'Selected' check box under the volume bar for each input. This should fix it for you. If you are using a different version of windows let me know what Windows you're using and i'll post a followup for you with the correct instructions. Good luck!

I cant hear any sound on my packard bell easynote laptop

Hi,

You just need to download the appropriate audio driver for your laptop. Go to the Device Manager and install all missing drivers for "Unknown Devices". Either connect to the internet or use the driver disc which came with the laptop of the computer.

For those who doesn't know how to access Device Manager, please follow the steps below.

For Windows XP:
Start -> Run -> Type devmgmt.msc (in the box) -> Right click Unknown device -> Properties -> Driver tab -> Update driver

For Windows Vista and Windows 7
Start -> Type devmgmt.msc (in the start search box) -> Right click Unknown device -> Properties -> Driver tab -> Update driver

Hope this helps.

I cant get any audio from the laptop even if I use the head phones

It sounds like you are missing the audio driver. If you are running Windows 7, just run windows update and it should find and install the driver automatically (it will show up under optional updates). If it doesn't, then you need to search online for the driver and manually install it. If that doesn't work, you probably have a hardware issue of some kind.

Hi there, uninstall the soundcard in the System Properties--> Device Manager section of Windows XP/Vista (Press the Windows Key & Pause/Break)

Next time you reboot it will reinstall the drivers for you, that should help.
