Question about Samsung TX-R2735 27" TV

2 Answers

My TV turns off by itself. How do I correct this? We've had our tv for over a year...and just recently it started turning off by itself...when its turned back on it automatically shuts off again. If we leave it off...it will turn on by itself...and then shut down after a couple of minutes. The only thing we can do is unplug it for a couple of hours and it may (or may not) work for a while. Any suggestions on what to do...other than buy a new tv?

Take to repair shop. There is a problem with j517 going intermitent. They can just run a wire accross the coil.

If you can find an inexpensive repair shop, I'd try that. For example, we have a place in town with an honest repairman who will fix about any issue with TVs/stereos. If he cannot fix it, he will not charge.

I would think that this problem is on the power supply. Perhaps a cap or transistor on the output side of the PS. I am not a technician though so I can't be sure. This is just a common symptom/solution from what you've described.

I have an LG 50PS8000 plasma tv which is nearly 2 years old. For the last few months its has occassionally been getting a red haze over the entire screen which either dissapeared on its own or went if you...

I've also had a popping noise on our 50" LG plasma TV, however the picture has not gone, but has turned grainy and colors are weird. Can this also be a blown fuse or a more severe problem (ysus board or similar)?

Sony kds-r50xbr1 turns itself off and then green light blinks 52

I too have a Sony KDS-R60XBR1 tv and the issue that you are experiencing is due to one of your fans in the rear of the tv is not working.  The tv automatically shuts off in protective mode.  Make sure the POWER/STANDBY light is blinking and not the lamp light below it.  Is the power/standby blinking 4 times in red? If, yes then its a fan that needs to be replaced.  If its the lamp light blinking then you need to replace the lamp.  The lamp is easy to replace by ordering the lamp either from Sony for $250 or find it cheaper for approx. $150 from other DLP sources and replace youself by following your manual.  I hope this helps you.

Just replace its Lamp and procedure is written in user manual of KDS-R50XBR1
F93087600 XL-5100 LAMP BLOCK
Lamp is available in Sony Accessories and price is $250
Always buy Sony original lamp for good picture in TV and avoid aftermarket / cheap lamps that can cause damage of TV circuits.

36" tube tv. picture fuzzy and out of focus

It sounds like you may have a G1 intermittent short in the picture tube, which unless it is still in warranty would not be worth repairing.
