Make your TV a second display? your PC should ha dual siplay capability, with TV out option. if you have that kind of video display card then when the PC still off, connect your TV cable to the dsiplay card, your VGA also should be connected to your monitor. after that turn on your PC and your system will detect 2 displays, the montior and the TV. then go to your display properties, you will see two displays there 1 and 2, click the display 2 and there at the bottom of the page you will see a box saying extend your windows in this dsiplay. select that and click ok. you should be having 2 displays now.

How to connect my laptop to my sony lcd bravia cx32d tv

For a wired connection, it depends on the type of connection ports you have available on the TV and then on the computer.

You can use the HDMI or the s video or some TVs will have a specific/dedicated port for connecting to a PC .

Check the user manual for the TV and also check on the rear of the TV for the types of connections you have available. Then you need a compatible connection on your PC.

Problem with netflix

Your TV may have a faulty connection. If your TV is wired, make sure the internet cord is connected to the TV as well as the router. If your connection is wireless, restart (i.e disable, then enable) the wireless connection on your TV

I want to connect my computer to the pioneer sd-643hd5 tv so I can view movies, pictures etc; The tv only has pin connections, cable connection, s-video connection, and a RGB port for HDTV broadcasting....

depending on the connections available on your pc, you can get a vga to rgb cable fairly cheap but I am not sure on how good the quality will be, same with the s-video connection. vga connections on the pc are usually blue in colour, if you have dvi connection you can get a similar cable to do the job. Most computers will auto sense the tv if you connect the cables with the pc switched off, make sure you are on the right channel on the tv and the switch on the pc.

hope this helps

Need help watching a movie from laptopn to tv

What kind of help?
Connection?
  • if you have a S-Video connection use it (remember to use another cable for audio)
  • If your TV set has a VGA connection use it (always + audio cable)
  • If HDMI connection available use it
OR look for a special connector matching PC VGA port with RF modulated antenna signal on TV set or composite input. Here some detail
