My 2009 Malibu, started jerking and loosing power last week, codes said bad TPS, change the throttle body and it worked a few days and it started again. Reduce Engine Light comes on again

The problem with an engine code is that when it says the TPS is the problem what it's really saying is that it's reading values that usually indicate a bad TPS but can also be caused by another related engine control component whose failure can create the same values.

1995 blazer 4l60e trans just rebuilt. Hard 1-2

Sounds like full pressure apply from pcm. Must check for full 12v at trans connector. Also check all ground twice. That is a hard trans to install and things tend to get left loose.

I have a 2004 Chrysler Concorde LXI 2.7 Eng. Got Check Engine light twice with PO344 code (Cam Shaft). Dealer could not find problem and reset computer twice. Now I am getting error codes PO700 and...

check flexplate,i had a vehicle w/ 2.7 that would throw similar codes(cyl miss code that would change to"cam counter" then weird tranny codes and back)changed cntroll box on trans, coils, cam sensor .ended up being a cracked flexplate that shifted enough it was screwing with crankshaft sensor.the sbec(brain box) was going nuts trying to figure out why cam/crank signals didnt jive so it was basically"guessing" why.its a mechanical failure causing good sensors to read bad,if the codes come back or throw diffrent ones after reset look at non computer causes, dealer should know better.

Hello! Yes a defective Camshaft Positioning Sensor (CPS) can cause what would appear to be erratic shifting due to incorrect timing...clarify what you changed? Is TCS, both of them a typo?
The Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS) may also be involved...Give me the exact P code...

I have to replace my iac valve twice a year every year! the computer always codes for the tps sensor, even though i know its fine and has also been replaced 3 times in 5 years. do you have a permanent...

It's possible that there is a bad wire or connection between the TPS and the engine controller that is causing the TPS code to set and also disrupting the idle. The ideal thing would be to test the continuity of the 3 TPS wires at both ends of the circuits while wiggling/twisting on the wires to see if a fault can be found. Usually when I find a problem it's due to a bad spot in the wire right at or near the TPS connector [connectors can be replaced] or somewhere where the harness is damaged or has rubbed through against something sharp. I've had the best luck using OEM parts when replacing this type of sensor. If your TPS readings are poor enough to set a service code you often won't have overdrive and the transmission may shift strangely since the engine computer won't be able to accurately tell what position the throttle is at. Hope this helps a bit and good luck!

1994 camry idols rough.was told it could be tps or coil pack check engine light was on and went off after we changed spark plugs but it still idols rough.what could this be?

Actually, in today's cars on the road, a check engine light can mean literally hundreds of different things on the engine or transmission.

I would have the car scanned to see what codes have been stored in the computer to get a clue as to what is wrong with the vehicle's engine.

A rough idle could be caused by a coil pack, a tps problem would be more like a miss on acceleration kind of symptom.

However, before changing expensive parts, it would probably pay to have the codes scanned.

Check engine light. code po141 codepo122

po141, may be a bad o2 sensor, rear sensor after converter. the po 141 is low voltage to tps, try replacing the oyxgen sensor first and then reset the codes and drive if the po141 comes back then replace the tps,

CHECK ENGINE light won't go off. Analysus says

Check it with a scaner where you can see data on TPS, should read .50 volts at idle, also could be defective sensor.
