Water coming out of the back of the dryer

When a dryer usually produces visable water from any part of it's self, the suggestion would be a completely restricted vent line. Such restrictions could be from nests from animals, excess lint, a dip in the vent hose causing lint and water to collect. Since the dryer is leaking water, it is heating and therefore creting steam in an effort to dry the cloths, with a clogged vent the steam has no where to escape to and thus condenses within the dryer and leaks out. The vent needs to be checked by a wualified vent servicing company from the back of the dryer to the point of exit of the home. Pleazer Appliance...

My Neptune propane dryer - model # mdg9700aww - is not heating. Have changed the valves. Any suggestions?

No gas dryer will allow the burners to stay on if the vent is clogged. Check your vent outlet while the dryer is running and you should feel a strong flow of air. Watch out for maybe a hornet's nest this time of year. If your model has a lint screen on the top (which I assume you keep clean), pull it out while it's running. If air is blowing out of the hole your vent is clogged. Since you say you changed the gas valves I assume you have some tech capability. Make sure you put them in the right places, they are different. Anyway, no gas dryer will run with a clogged vent. Check that and let me know. Good luck.

The gas dryer heats then does not heat. The sensor says 99 minutes to dry close. Tried it on timed heat and it dries then stops drying. Sometimes shutting off completely!

Hello,Cheack to make sure your venting is clean and clear..If its blocked the safty thermostat will shut the heat down to prevent overheating.. If the vent is clean i would check the coils. When they start to fail it will heat then not cycle back on..

Our new dryer seems to run longer than it is supposed to

Clean out your dryer ducting, unhook the dryer from the vent and clean the vent from the back of thedryer to the out side of the home. If you can take the cover off of the outside and you can use a leaf blower to blow out all of the lint, if you cant do that you will need to take the ducting apart and clean it out by hand

MY DRYER TURNS ON, AGLOW IS VISIBLE IN THE FRONT OPENING, WARM AIR IS FELT AND THEN GLOW GOES AWAY. no heat is produced?

That tells me you have a lint build up in the dyers exhaust vent tubing. Clean out all obstruction by removing the entire duckwork and reinstall. Then it shall heatup like it was new again. A moister sensor detects any clogged areas and puts the burner into a check mode stopping the heating process. It was manitory a decade ago so it will prevent home fires in dryers

Dryer produces heat, but clothes don't dry

Sounds like the vent has a lint build up inside of it. A moister sensor detects any lint build up and keeps the heat in check. The dryer will produce very little heat this was. Clean the entire venting tubing and it shall run better for you

Maytag Neptune gas dryer MDG4000AWW not heating properly.

Note: Normal drying time for a dryer is about 45 minutes (some may take up to an hour).

1. Venting
Make sure the dryer vent hose, as well as the rest of the vent duct, is not clogged.

Unless regular maintenance is performed, chances are there is a lot of lint accumulated inside the dryer. This might affect the drying time and could be a fire hazard. Make sure to have your dryer cleaned regularly. Because this might involve taking most of the dryer apart, it is recommended to have a qualified appliance repairman perform this task.

2. Thermostat
There are a couple of cycling thermostats inside the dryer. If one of them breaks down, it might affect the dryer's performance. Replace the defective thermostat.

Maytag neptune dryer not heating up to dry clothes.

On my dryer the igniter is rt behind the front panel. Take off the dooe and a few screws and pull it off. If the igniter lights at all it is good. Try also checking the entire discharge vent hose as sometimes it gets clogged way dn line and you might not notice it. Try squeezing it all the way dn.

Too long to dry my clothes

HI,

It normally takes about 45 minutes for a dryer to dry a full load. If your dryer is taking more than an hour, check these.

Vent
Heating element
Internal ductwork
Cycling thermostat
Vent Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance.

Heating element Your dryer's heating element may be partially burned out. If it is, your dryer still heats, but at such a low temperature that it takes three or four times as long to dry the clothes. If the element is partially burned out, replace it.

Internal ductwork Your dryer has some internal ductwork. If it gets clogged, your dryer can't dry properly. In most dryers, to get to the internal ductwork to clear the clog, you have to substantially disassemble the dryer. A quick way to check for internal clogs is to remove the lint filter and use a flashlight to inspect the inside of the duct. If it looks clogged and you can't clear it using your vacuum, contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

Cycling thermostat Although this isn't a common problem, one of the thermostats that controls the temperature in your dryer may break and cause the dryer to heat poorly. If so, you need to replace it. The thermostat is usually a small, round, black device mounted to an oblong steel plate. The plate is mounted to the internal ductwork with two screws.
