Question about Garden

1 Answer

Last Tues. bought 2 tiki torches from local Home Depot. The poles for these things were so flimsy, they wobble in the connections. The foot pedal to push in ground is a joke. A good wind will topple them over as the top is top heavy. The light it'S self is bright. I understand, I paid only 10.00 a torch, but even the reed wrap is comming off one. The only good part of this the tops fit on torches I have had for about 3 years of which the connections screw together. BUT, expected more from your name.

I am sorry you had bad luck with that product. It is true that they are not well crafted. It sounds like you have made the best of the situation with your own ingenuity. Well done:)

I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan model 56-ant that is currently mounted flush. Can it be installed on a vaulted ceiling with a pole?

Yes. In flush mount configuration, it has about a 3" pole connecting the ball-mount that sits in the cup-shaped bracket. You just need to replace that short pole with one that is as long as you want. Lowe's Home Improvement or Home Depot sells them up to six feet long.

I just bought a Great Outdoors 9 by 13 foot screened gazebo from a local tag sale. Not surprisingly it came with no directions, and I'm lost. Where can I get instructions?

The company went out of business, so no chance at finding instructions.
BUT, there's a method to their madness.

Connect the #1 & #1b poles together to form 4x4' poles
Connect the #2 & #2a poles together to form 3x6'8" poles
Connect the #3 $ #3a & #4 poles together to form 4x6'5" poles

The shorter ones are for the 'Gable'... the canopy. The #2 poles are the cross-bars for the canopy, and the #3/4 poles are the legs.

Ive got a 10x10 lawn and party gazebo made by summer rite ... do you know where to get instructions ?

Okay, Here it goes.

_1429.jpg
First lay out all of the parts by number (little stickers on poles) or sizes if the stickers are gone.

_1430.jpgTake

Take the 1's and 2's and connect them together creating one big pole that will act as one of the roof peak structures. If you have lost your numbers, these two poles should be the two middle sized poles (4 of each).

Then connect each end of #1 to the center peak piece

_1431.jpg
_1432.jpg

Once all four combined poles (1 and 2) are attached to the center piece, add the pole brace pieces to each end of the bottom or #2 Piece.
_1433.jpg
Once this is done, combine two number 3's with one 4 (the 4 being in the middle of the two with both silver metal fasteners on the #3 poles facing outwards)

_1440.jpg

Then connect each end of the combined poles to the end piece.

_1443.jpg
_1450.jpg
Now lay out the final set of poles (# 5 and 6), but only connect the #5 pole to the end piece first, all around the gazebo.

_1448.jpg
_1449.jpg
Okay, now we want to start adding the actual canopy. Start by pulling the corners down at each pole joint then velcroing the tarp underneath in the middle of the 3-4-3 combined pole.

_1451.jpg
_1452.jpg
_1453.jpg
_1454.jpg
Now it is safe to connect the next set of poles (#6) to the leg poles (#5). Make sure the end with the 3 drilled holes are closest to the ground. On each end of the tarp legs there is a silver hook. Hook this into the 1st hole in the pole for support.

_1455.jpg
_1456.jpg
Connect the foot cap to the end of each pole and then connect the plastic o ring to the connector on the foot piece and readjust the silver hook as needed to either hole 2 or 3 (see photos).

_1457.jpg
_1458.jpg
_1459.jpg
_1460.jpg
Then the final parts are easy, secure any velcro straps to the legs, then use the stakes to stake down the whole thing and you may use the secure ropes as needed though I tend two just put two stakes in each foot piece at different angles.

Congratulations !!!!! Your Summer Rite Gazebo is ready for festivities. Hope this helps !!!

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

There are 2 ways to go about getting replacement parts for your 9ft Hampton Bay umbrella pole. .
(FYI - Hampton Bay is owned by Home Depot)
You can call the Home Depot customer service line at 1-800-654-0688
or
Hampton Bay Company has its own customer service number at 1-877-527-0313 where you can also find parts for their products.

I think you would have better luck with the 2nd number.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Brushes and brushes holder for rm1015p is needed in order to repair a recently bought pole saw . Please, help me to find a supplier....Home Depot was a fraud since no reference is made to customers in need...

Try to return it. RemingtonPower is no longer in production, eBay is rapidly becoming the sole source for replacement parts. The number you provide does not cross. I found 3 pole saws. Part numbers (pn) 111409-01 (not your saw no brushes), pn 104317 and 106821. The latter 2 use stator assembly pn 113614-01; NLA at RemintonPower and not listed at MasterParts. An Internet search for Reminton 113614-01 returns only pdf files. Sorry. Lou Odds are good Home Depot knew it was out of production when they sold it to you.

Looking for 2 15amp single pole pushmatic circuit breakers.

A Google search for "15 amp pushmatic" turned up several links. Here's one for a retailer with new ones and an eBay store with cheaper prices (maybe pullouts):

http://www.aplussupply.com/break/push/push.htm

http://stores.ebay.com/Sparkys-Place_Pushmatic-Categories_W0QQfsubZ10975954

Did you also check the big-box stores like Home Depot or Lowe's or electric suppliers in your area?

Lost temp control on foot pedal & thumb control

If you have both a foot pedal and a thumb control and neither is working, the problem could be in the 14 pin remote connector on the welder. The pins inside the connector can get worn out and/or broken with regular changing of the remote.

You could also have a bad PC2 board, the front panel control comes after the interface to the remote control.

Carl

Peg Perego John Deere Gator not working at all

It sounds like you need a pedal switch or it has a loose connection in the wires. It is a specific Peg Perego Switch that will fit under the foot pedal. I have a gator that was doing the same thing so i replaced the shifter switches and the foot pedal switch, but I bet you could start with just the foot pedal switch.
I bought mine at this website http://www.shopjandl.com/kids---baby-ride-on-toys-peg-perego.html but you could also call them as well.
Hope this helps
