I have a power acoustik subwoofer, how do I know if the amp at the back of the round tube works the12" speaker wrks 500w voice coil 2, 89db low Q Driver. know it's for car's but I use it with tv spk

the shown photo is a bit confusing too me , clearly this is an automotive speaker , but in the photo there is clearly a home power cord shown , is this power cord connected anywhere on this speaker ? as if it is , id be afraid that amp has received home power and not car power , as the two are not the same and have tremendous differences and would be quite damaging to this amp possibly unrepairable damage

SPK-VELO2 power supply unavailable

Go here: and ask them. They have live chat to answer questions like this. If they can't supply you with a replacement you could ask them for the specs to guide you when selecting a supply. These include the current (in milliamps or amps required by the unit, and the size of power connector that will fit. Without this info no one could help you other than someone who is familiar with them.

Not enough audio in some noisy conditions

Get powered, external speakers. Connect them to either the variable audio out, or the headphone connection. A decent set of computer speakers should do nicely.

Can I hook up 2 lanzar opti1532d subs to a kicker kx 1200.1 or do I need a bigger amp, its 1ohm stable an the birth sheet says 1390 but with 14+ it does 1400rms...

Yes you Can. run them bridged parallel. meaning on the amp where the speaker wires attach there should be labeled with a "+" and "-" with a line drawn to show which terminals to hook the bridge wires up to. bridging takes power from both sides of the amp and puts it into one strong signal on half the wires. from there run your "+" wire to the first "+" on your first speaker. run your second wire from "+" on spk 1 to "+" on spk 2. repeat process from "-" on amp to "-" on first speaker and then to second speaker. __ ' a'"+"________"+"_______+ Good luck, may the force
/ ' 'm'"-" spk spk be with you!
bridged \ '__ ' '"-" ________"-"_______"-"

this will get you the most sound from the amp. if using 4 ohms speakere you will be running a 2 ohm load bridged.

"Check SPK"

It may have been a bad solder connection on an emitter resistor, now it probably needs output transistors and a resistor or two.

Make sure it's not a speaker disconnect all speakers and power on if it still displays "check spk" it needs service. Est $100 to $140 Total

No sound from speaker

Isolate the wiring, too. It's a binary problem. Should be easy. Or try running your suspected speakers on other channels to eliminate amplifier bugs.

Clipping amp

hi first disconnect all spks, then turn on the amp. if amp power lite stays on bright then proceed to connect one speaker or sub to the amp. if the amp lite dims during any spk connections then it may be that the spk is faulty or there is a DC voltage (dc offset) emitting thru that particular channel. also check all spk impedance before reconnecting them to the amp. cheers.
