Hi,
With refrigeration pressures that will vary greatly with the temperature.
When downn to proper cool temperatures the low will be around 10-15 and the high side 150 or so

My 1993 cadillac deville A/C is not blowing cold air in fact it switches to ECONO soon as I turn the A/C on, R12 is currently the last refrigerant used does the compressor need to be removed to convert the...

The A/C system is most likely low on refrigerant. A pressure switch will disengage the clutch on the compressor if it drops below a certain point. The compressor will not need to be removed for conversion to 134A. The conversion kits are available at most automotive retailers in addition to leak detecting and fixing agents which can be introduced into the system. It is very important to identify the low pressure access point in order to use these products and read all the safety warnings before attempting this on your own.

No,you won't find it in the owner's manual. It charges through the low pressure side, which is the larger of the 2 available ports. You can't hook it up wrong. I suggest you buy a Hayne's manual for the truck. It has 90% of any answer you might need. A/C can be tricky to fix for the novice. If charging doesn't work, take it to the shop.

Recharge air on a 1998 oldsmobile bravada

You didnt actually post a question so I will try to help. You need 134a refrigerant and a way to get it into the system. Places like walmart and Advance Auto Parts has what you need. Most diy kits have a hose to connect to the Low Pressure side of the ac system and a guage. The other end of the guage has a connector that fits on the can of 134a. Start the car, turn the ac on high, open the hood. Being careful of moving parts under the hood, connect the hose to the Low Pressure side of the ac and see where the guage is reading. Most are color coded. If it says it needs charged, squeeze the trigger until the can is empty and take another reading. Continue until the guage is in normal range.

Operating pressures for 134A refrigerant system

I would go for 40 on the suction and 150 discharge, or divide the locked rotor current by 6 and charge so the current is 1/6 of the locked rotor current of the compressor, or by temperature/pressure relation 110* discharge and 35* suction, or get the suction line sweating. The best way is to remove all the refrigerant and then weigh the refrigerant the system is designed for on these critical charge appliances.
