Samsung SyncMaster 710MP computer monitor flickers and the sometimes goes black. TV mode works fine. It's almost like the power supply to the computer monitor is flakey.

I am having the same problem. The picture comes right back but I want to fix it. Anyone have a clue? I am using it as a monitor, primarily. do I just need to download a new driver?

I am using it connected to a laptop. Occasionally, my mouse pointer changes fromthe arrow to a dotted pointed line, very hard to see. Then it goes back to being a regular arrow. It only happens when I am connected to thel monitor and move my mouse back and forth between the two screens.

I'm having the same issue. Problem is the backlight. Even worse is finding the specs on that light so I can replace it.

How can I fix a synmaster b1630 monitor that has green tint on screen now?

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

The monitor is registering no signal

No signal is not a problem with the monitoe unless the cabe is disconnected from either the PC or the monitor ends.

If the cables is securely attached at both ends it indicates the PC is not sending a video signal to the monitor.
Could be the PC hasn't booted up propperly.
Turn the PC off , wait 2 minutes and turn it back on.
Observe any lights on the front of the PC , especially disk activity light.. it should flicker .. alot.
If not then you have a PC issue not a monitor issue

Monitor flickers or 1/3 turns black, have tried wiggling cable, and moving/tapping monitor, sometime it works great, other times i fight this every few min. Doesn't matter if i turn computer all the way...

You may have a faulty inverter or loose power inverter connection. OR
You may have a defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.
