Even though it used to work, for some reason my Vista machine stopped "seeing" my dongle (even though there was still the familiar sound when I plugged it into the USB port).

My solution was to un-install the dongle (in my case iLok) driver, remove the dongle and then re-insert it.

This time it found the new hardware and installed the driver.

Homeworld 2 will not work no windows 7

You might need some specific programs installed
IE: Direct x , Adobe , Klite codec pack

http://download.cnet.com/adobe-reader-x/3000-10743_4-10000062.html

http://download.cnet.com/k-lite-codec-pack/3000-13632_4-64246.html

if this fails to get it to run

It looks as though the program was made for 98/ME/2000 and /xp
you might try the patch

hope this helps

3network mobile dongle wont work

Hi,
Three options:
1). Try another USB port on the PC / Laptop. I have discovered that some USB ports mess up sometimes.
2). Check if you have a firewall software on this computer (some of those that normally pops up with messages at the bottom-right of your screen saying things like 'Allow, Block, etc". If you have one of such, you may want to go into the setting and disable firewall briefly and test your Dongle again. If it now works, then Allow the Dongle in the firewall settings.
3). Uninstall the Dongle. Shutdown and restart your computer. Go to Program files and delete the folder where the program was installed. Then use the CD that came with your Dongle to do an install. Then finally connect your Dongle. Should work.

How do I upgrade my laptop from 98 to xp without licence or cd

The only way you can upgrade your Operating System is by installing a new version. Windows XP would be your best option.
You can get a genuine Windows XP from a computer store, online or from a friend who can give it to you for free.

How to reinstall windows 98

You could certainly install 98, but why? If you did install Window98, you would have zero security patches available because Microsoft no longer supports 98.

If you have 128M of memory, windows XP works ok.

You need to go to the www.dell.com/support and look for a down load for you particular PC OS and game. And also to the game site for a possible patch or download to help you. since We don;t have a lot of info on the game, You might just try this one yourself. If you can;t find what you need, come back with more info and I'll give it another try. Good Luck.
