Setting the IP address on Konica 7030 multi-function copier
Hello. I am in a small office setting and have inherited a Konica 7030 and have only been using the copy feature. We want to now network it as a printer/scanner but cannot set the IP address. Any suggestions?
Re: setting the IP address on Konica 7030 multi-function...
If you don't have a netwok card in you Konica 7030 then you have to connect it to your computer over LPT cable or USB Cable then install the software from the Konica 7030 CD.
after that you can Share the installed Konica 7030 Printer and map it at the other computers.

You do not have the print/scan option installed on your copier. If you did you would have an ethernet port on the machine for network access and when you press the print/scan button on the control panel you would be able to access those functions. The fact that you can not means that the machine can not see that option because it is not installed. The parallel port is common and is used for uploading of firmware into the machine.

There is toner/starter spilled onto a sensor near the drum, it mite just need to be cleaned, this sensor monitors the drums abililty to develope a image, if the cleaning does not work it mite be the sensor or the drum. The drum needs to be removed to clean the sensors.
this can be easily done via your web browser by typing in the IP address of the MFP and set it from there.
You need the IP address of the laptop and is best to put the shared folder in the main drive (C).
Then for the file path you just need to enter the name of the shared folder EXACTLY as it is on the lap top.
You also MUST enter the ID a password to give it access.
Is there network card is installed in it, if yes then you can configure it with your network go to machine Manu in machine control panel and the in network settings here you can give the IP address and subnet mask after then reboot the machine.
If network card is no installed behind the machine then you can use its built-in USB or and parallel printer without NIC card.
