You may want to check the door switch. Depending on age and vibration, or slamming shut too hard will damage the switch.

seems like the door safety switch is stuck. open door and look for it, a little dowel, see if it is clicking on and off. to test, open door, let the drier buzz and try pushing the little switch in and out.

Amana electric dryer will heat but only when.../ LEA60AW

Hi there,

It seems there is some wire loose, check on the both side of heating element points.
The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter.

Good Luck!!
Thanks

How do install an ac dryer in a 2003 Toyota Echo

Theorifice and drier need to be intsalled by a service tech. Even if you know how you need a Refrigerant EPA liscense to handle refrigerat. The system needs to be pumped down and the drier and orifice removed. Sounds like you have a restriction in your line. Sometimes orifice gets stopped up but is easily removed and cleaned. Driers to stop u[ also depends if they are flare drier or need to be welded in the line. To do the repair you need guages, torch freon silver solder, vacuum pump and know whar the presures mean on the intruments.

if possible, with the door open, push the limit switch the door normally hits to let the drier know the door is shut. That switch may be bad.

Leb6200 wont completely dry clothes first time.

the problem is most likely an airflow problem. if you have a flexible duct connected to the back of the machine then replace it with a smooth rigid (not pvc) metal duct. clean inside the wall or wherever the air goes to get outside (must be smooth metal at least 4" in diameter) in the wall, without too many bends. the electrical arc you spoke of would not have an effect on the heating element unless the machine is not heating at all.
