The Domain Name System (abbreviated DNS) is an Internet directory service. DNS is how domain names are translated into IP addresses, and DNS also controls email delivery. If your computer cannot access DNS, your web browser will not be able to find web sites, and you will not be able to receive or send email

The connection has timed outThe server at www.tagged.com is taking too long to respond. FirefoxRestarted Browsers [Firefox, IE], cleared cache, flushed DNS, restarted router. I can access other sites,

I could only guess TAGGED is undergoing a site maintenance. It happens every now and then. The good thing about it sometimes is that they (TAGGED) give some features available only to VIP's, but as some sort of 'peace offering' for the inconvenience they had caused us users, they let us see who has viewed our profiles, they let us see who has read our messages, etc. for about a week.

Hello, I cant log in or access any pages, it says google may have moved or is no longer available says that to every site I try, please help.

Run your malware checker. It would seem as if you have a "Hijacker" these programs divert your internet requests to their own sites. It would also be worth checking that you have a DNS server, these act as a kind of index for websites. There are a few good and free (not tied to large companies using your data to make money. This page will give you a list (after you remove the malware that is infecting your computer) http://theos.in/windows-xp/free-fast-public-dns-server-list/

I am connected to the internet but can't connect to certain sites.

Check your poxy settings. Almost sounds as if there is a proxy server blocking access. Also check DNS settings. If you need to hard code DNS settings into the network connection. I use googles DNS free servers at 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 these are a global DNS server.

When open internet it showing DNS error what to do?

By "it" may I assume you mean the web browser?
DNS errors are usually caused by one of two things:
1. You are not connected to the Internet, or
2. You're trying to access a site with no DNS entry (e.g. there might be a small error in the URL or site is no longer registered)

Oops-this link is broken msg is flagged when i access youtube

If a DNS error is showing, the web site you are visiting is having a problem. It happens with the best of sites. If you are asking for a way to stop Google's suggestions there is a way to do that as well but Google is not the cause of the DNS error.

Hpg6000 Vista 32 cannot access via browser

Hi.

This problem usually occurs if DNS addresses are not set-up correctly.
DNS addresses are IP addresses of DNS servers which translates your queries to IP addresses. Like, when you enter www.google.com in your browser, computer sends this to DNS server, then DNS server gives back information of the address of the site you're trying to visit. Since your computer does not know where DNS server is, it cannot display your web page. Some programs like Messenger and Skype work by quering exact addresses (since they are made to connect to single database on Internet), and that's the reason they are connected to Internet.

  1. Ask your Internet provider for DNS addresses.
  2. Open Start menu and then Control Panel.
  3. Open Network Connections.
  4. Right-click the connection you are using to connect to Internet, and click Properties.
  5. From the item list, choose Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
  6. Click Properties.
  7. Click Use the following DNS server addresses.
  8. Enter given addresses.
  9. Click OK and then Close.

Dns problems

The DNS addresses are generally provided by your internet service provider (ISP) for your use. Can you identify your internet service providers web site link or his name and possibly your location in terms of city and state? WIth that information I should be able to access his support site and find the DNS addresses for you.

Cannot Access Internet By Using Microsoft MN-500 Base Station

CAUSE This issue occurs if there is a problem with the domain name system (DNS) server settings on your network. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, use the following procedures in the order presented. Determine if your DNS settings are the cause of the symptoms you are experiencing. To do this, following these steps: 1. Gather the Internet protocol (IP) settings from your computer. a. Click Start, click Run, type CMD, and then press ENTER. b. At the Command prompt, type ipconfig, and then press ENTER. c. Make a note of the information that is returned. You can copy and paste the output in another program, and then print it if you want. 2. Use the Ping.exe file to check your hardware. For additional information about how to use Ping.exe, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 814155 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814155/EN-US/) MSBBN: How to Use Ping.exe to Check Your Microsoft Broadband Network Adapter 3. Bypass your Base Station, and connect your computer directly to your broadband modem. ? If you can access Internet Web sites as expected, the problem is most likely in the settings on your Base Station or on your computer. ? If you still cannot access the Internet, there may be a problem with your modem settings. Contact your ISP, or see the documentation that came with your broadband modem. If your network is functioning correctly internally, and you still cannot access Internet Web sites, there may be a problem with your DNS settings. To configure your DNS settings, you must know what the correct DNS settings are for your Internet Service Provider (ISP). See your ISP or the documentation that they provided when you signed up for service with them. To resolve this issue, following these steps: 1. Open the Microsoft Broadband Networking Utility (BNU), click Base Station Management Tool on the Tools menu, and then log into the Base Station Management Tool. 2. In the Base Station Management Tool, click Wide Area Network in the navigation list. 3. Select the appropriate type of Internet connection under Internet Connection Type, and then type the appropriate information.
