Bosch dishwasher error code e 01
If a Bosch dishwasher displays the error code e01, it means the control panel is malfunctioning. ... If the dishwasher does not work at all or fails, the faulty control board is probably the case. It controls all the functions.

My Bosch SHE4AM16UC was having the same problem of it going from active straight to clean, and there was water in the bottom making me think that there was either a clog or a pump issue. I took my shop vac sucked all the water out of the dishwasher including the down into the drain area for about 3 min until u think all the water is gone in the entire unit. Then I also took off the drain hose that was connected to either your sink or your disposal and held the shop vac over that area for about 5 min to get all the water and hopefully any clog that may be obstructing the drainage. Put the hose back on and hit start and it worked. So for me it was just a clog either deep in the hose or inside the unit. I hope this helps someone. TonyaB
I have the same problem! Just in the past few days -- UGH! I am highly disappointed in this dishwasher. I read that the failure to release the door is due to soap and hard water build-up. So, I've sprayed the entire soap dispenser unit with vinegar. Hopefully that will help!
I would check tosee if your water meaning hot water temp is hook up correctly. i have seen cold water going to machine and causing the machine to do funny things. 1 the unit drains.2. it fills.3.it washes if the water is cold there is your problem .make sure b4 you start machine the water going in is hot. let me know how you made out maybe we can further check. p.s im a old bosch tech:)
pull the dishwasher out and look inside the pan you more than likley have a leak and this is why it is not filling it has a safety so when it leak it will not fill with any more water.
