Need belt routing for the Poulan hd145h42 cant find anything on any help is greatly appreciated.........

Electrical continuity....
there is a break in the cabling/electronic system somewhere or the switch is NOT making contact.

Make a drawing of the deck routing and pull the belt off the mower measure the width and length of the belt and order one on line or go to a mower shop with the belt and they can size it to the one you need. Do the same for the drive belt.

You seem to have a gearcase issue...like it's stuck in 1st. Have it checked by an equipment repair center.

Go to Craftsman, Order Tree or Parts Tree.com and input your model number. Choose the correct tab and go to the mower deck. It will give you a good over view of how the belt routes. Hope this helps.

try to locate diagram of belt routing - Google "2002 Pontiac Montana (your eng.size) belt routing diagram" then click over to Google images. I know the belts run close but shouldn't be contacting anything but pulleys and idler

I know this is a Craftsman but beleive it or not Pouland, Craftsman, AYP and others are nearly the same mower all made by a company called MTD.
