You would need a multi-meter or voltmeter to trace the power path. Turn on the generator and wait until you hear the water feed solenoid stop. This means the water has reached the satisfied level and the pc board should have sent 24v to engage the contactor. On the actual pc board there is a section label "cont" which is what sends the 24v to the contactor the engage the heating element. Verify that you have 24v on the spade terminals going out to the contactor, if not then you may have a pc board issue. Second possibility is the contactor, if it is recieving 24v and it is not engaging then it's simply a bad contactor. Check the load side of the contactors with the blue wires. Lastly if these two steps check ok, then perform an ohm reading with a multimeter on the actual heating element(with the power off, put your two test leads on the two flathead screws that hold down the blue leads the go to the heating element). If you get an open reading then this may indicate a failed heating element. Pulling the heating element out on the left side panel will confirm any element failure.

Mr.Steamer Commercial Steambath CU750A temp is to high it is out of control

There are only 3 likely causes. The first and most likely is the room sensor inside the shower. This is a resistive type sensor that communicates the temperature in the room to the controller via ohm ratings. There is an equivalent ohm rating for every degree of temperature it correlates to and that is how the temperature controller knows what temp it is in the room. Often in commercial steam rooms clients tend to spray cold water on the sensor which causes damage and alters the ohm rating to the point where the sensor is relaying incorrect room temps to the controller, causing high or low temperatures. Normally when the room is hot, it causes the alloy metal of the sensor to be hot. When cold water is sprayed on it, it immediately bring down the temp of the alloy and the thermal shock warps the metal causing the resistance values to change. Set your multi-meter to ohms and remove the sensor wires from the back of the controller. You will do your ohm reading on the sensor wires. Check the actual room temperature with a thermometer. At room temp 77 degrees you should be getting 10,000 ohms, at 100 degrees you should get 5827 ohms, and at 120 degrees you should get 3759 ohms. Note as the temp goes up the ohms go down, this should help you determine if your sensor is good. The other possibility is your steam solenoid valve is stuck in the open position. Simply check if there is voltage running to the solenoid. If there is no voltage but the room is filling with steam your solenoid is stuck open and needs to be replaced. The last is the controller, and by process of elimination if the sensor and steam solenoid are good then the controller may be the issue.

The temp gauge reads correctly for a while then it starts going from cool to hot faster the water can change temp. I have changed the sensor

try the thermostat, located on the top radiator hose. top side of engine. also does it steam?? does it lose water but no leak, does the heat blow hot? if your heat isnt hot and it steams and loses water you may have a cracked head or head gasket. if you have heat, doesnt lose water and doesnt steam it may also be your water pump. most pumps will leak visibly from the weep hole when running

Steam vapors dissapate before unit cancome back on

could be a bad sensor or relay. is it happening when it 1st comes on, if so this could be very true and when it does go into the shutdown part of steam generation it stays off for an extended period as well. try it out for yourself and see what happens as it cycles. could be that throwing water on the sensor caused it to give faulty readings or anything else. probly not design for that kind of shock.

Aprilaire 560 constantly drains water

check to see if you have 24 volts between to 2 yellow wires coming out of the water solenoid. if you have 24v, then it is still getting energized to run. if it does not have 24v and the water is still running, the solenoid is stuck open. most likely from water deposits. sometimes you can take the solenoid apart and clean it, but probably better off just getting a new solenoid.
