How do you remove links from my watch band DKNY?

Instructions
    • 1 Determine the amount of links that need to be removed for the watch to fit on your arm correctly.
    • 2 Find the tiny holes on each link. Most DKNY link wristwatches, such as the 3107 model, have holes at the links near the clasp.
    • 3 Using the screwdriver, gently push the pin holding the link bar on the first link you want to remove. The link bar should come out on the other side.
    • 4 Take the pliers and completely remove the link bar from the band. The link band will still be attached to the clasp. Remove the link with the pliers. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for each additional link you want to remove.
    • 5 Gather the watch band and and bring the two sides back together. Join the link bar and the clasp together and, using the screwdriver, press the link bar back into the hole completely.

Need to take out a link or 2 to fit wrist. How do you remove the links

wrist watches links are made through two types of connection. First one is road based. the ends of the links are made in such a way that they make a round and interconnected with each other by sliding one link inside other then a thin road is placed in between the circle with spring loaded locking mechanism so that it shall not come out of the circle. In order to remove this type of link you are required to put the end of the link on a small hole and with the help of a small road tap the top of the road inside the links circle. Once the road is out you can slide out both the ends of the links and remove any number of links you wan't.

Second type of connection is made in half round type in this type one end of a link is made half circle and the other end is exactly same size hole the semi circle end fits inside the hole of next link. To remove the link you have to undo the semicircle part with the help of a plair and remove the link.

How do i install additional links to this model watch? the company mailed me 2 additional links but no installation instructions Fossil model ES1967

  • Turn your watch on its side so the links are vertical. On the inside of the links closest to the clasp you can see arrows, which point in the direction that the pins must be pushed out. Only about four links on either side of the clasp have arrows, because these are the only links with removable pins. On the edge of the links on the opposite end from where the arrow is pointing you will see a small circle where the pin is inserted.
  • Place the tip of your pointed tool on the small circle mentioned in Step 1. Push downward on the pin in the direction the arrow is pointing. Once the pin starts to come out of the link, use your fingertips or a pair of tweezers to completely remove the pin from the link. You may need to use force, but be careful not to scratch your watchband. Use a pointed tool from a jeweler's or hobby kit or watch pin removal tool.
  • Slide the links apart where you removed the pin so there is a gap in the watchband. Slide your new link into the gap and fit the neighboring links into the new link so it matches the rest of the watchband.
  • Insert the new pin into the watchband. You will need to insert two pins, the pin you removed in Step 2 and your new pin, into the two empty pin holes. You need to insert the pin small end first so the larger pin head does not pass through the link. Insert the pin against the direction of the arrow rather than in the direction the arrow is pointing like you did in Step 2. Use your pointed tool and your fingertips to push the pins completely in the links until the pin head is flush with the edge of the link.

    Watch band links.

you would have to either have custom links made or buy a whole new band to be made the links pop out by pins and then shortened placed this way back together
but if you dont have extra links buying longer band is your better sollution cause creating a link or 2 to fits can be costly
