To reset the CMOS the easiest way is, remove the motherboard
battery for ten minute then install it again. It will clear the CMOS. Then reset
the CMOS/BIOS setup, date/ time etc. Another way to clear CMOS is, reset the CMOS
Jumper in motherboard.
To detect your hard drive you can try to check by change the hard drive cables. Change the port in motherboard. Check the BIOS setup and reset it if need.
