I had this happen once, and in Outlook I clicked Help, then Detect and Repair. It fixed my problem. Try that and see if it works.

What is incoming mail server

Welcome to FixYa.

"Incoming Mail Server" is a computer in a network that provides "post office" facilities. It stores incoming mail for distribution to users (message store) and forwards outgoing mail through the appropriate channel (message transfer agent). The term may refer to just the software that performs this service, which can reside on a computer with other applications or to a stand-alone computer dedicated only to the mail function.

When setting up your phone to receive emails from your GMAIL via a specific email client (software) installed in your phone, the incoming mail server should be pop.gmail.com

Thank you for using FixYa. Have a great day.

I keep receiving the message "The error,

Hi,

I'm sorry about this but guess what it's an international issue. You're not the only person experiencing this. Yahoo! Mail is currently experiencing technical maintenance which will be over in 24hrs. There is nothing we can do but wait for it to be over. 24hrs is what they ask for the maintenance of their server.

I hope it helped. Thank you for visiting FixYa! have a nice one!

Have you tried logging on from a different computer? At a different location (connection site)? The problem sounds like your internet connection or service provider.

Send or receive messages

Did you configure your HTC using a POP3 or IMAP account? If you do, you need to make sure that the following are correct:

1. Incoming Mail Server - pop.domain.com (i.e. pop.gmail.com)
2. Incoming Port - 110 or 993
3. Outgoing Mail Server - smtp.domain.com (i.e. smtp.gmail.com)
4. Outgoing Port - 25 or 2525 or 587 or 465

You need to contact your e-mail provider to see the correct settings and port number to use for the incoming and outgoing mail server.

You have to make sure to put your complete e-mail address in the user name field.

Have a great day!
