Your horizontal output chip is begining to fail if you don't replace it eventually your set will not come on at all. You will push power and the indicator light will flash but your set wont power up.
Is it any way you can send me some pictures of the Circuit board that you put the Output chip in. You can do this with your camera phone. Then send the pictures to [email protected]. We need to get to the bottom of this. Send as many close up pictures as you can.
If you have a meter check the resistors and capacitors in the circuit something is allowing to much current to get to the chip.

We changed the chip you said is breaking down. It seemed to work with the back off TV but when we put the back on it does not come back on after playing and getting hot. It takes about 5 minutes or so. We will replace the used part we put in the set and make sure the part is good. Do you have any other suggestions if that fails? Thanks, Elizabeth
