Hello,

If the ice is not getting ejected and seems to be stuck in the ice maker, the defect lies in the ejector mechanism. Since the ice maker cannot eject the ice, you need to put it to the manual shut off mode, so that ice maker doesn't continue to make more ice. In such a scenario, you will need to shut off the power to the freezer for carrying out the repair, so if you are not comfortable with handling electrical appliances, you could seek professional help.

Also, sometimes, even though ice is formed perfectly fine in your ice maker, it does not eject out the trays. To solve this problem, you need to check the ejector gear and motor for any fault, and replace them if necessary. Also test the thermostat and ice hold heater in your refrigerator as the problem could be because of these parts malfunctioning.

Take care.

Whirlpool ice maker quit.

If it's similar to my Samsung, mine did the same. There is a reset button at the front of the box which contains the ice cube tray. If you press it, the ice tray rotates to dump the cubes, then refills. Hope this helps.

Ice maker on whirlpool quit working .

If it's like my Samsung, there is a reset micro switch button in front of the box containing the ice cube tray. Press it and the machine resets, the ice cube tray rotates, dumping the cubes. It then rights itself and fills with water. Hope this helps.

Icemaker issues

If your ice maker still in guarantee or warranty period, then go to the seller and replace with a new one. If not then go to google and type in ice maker repairer in your area and you will find plenty of website of repairer.

Water will come out of the door but it will not come through the line to the ice maker. It is not froze up.

If your model number is correct KSRD22FKST then most likely the water control valve on the rear of the refrigerator that supplies water to the ice maker is defective. Part number 4389177 dual water control valve. You can check the ice maker by filling with tap water and the letting it freeze. If it dumps or drops the ice the dual water control valve is defective. If not the ice maker is the problem. Sea Breeze

I have a model FRT 18B5JB1..the area under my crisper continues to fill with water and overflow on my kitchen floor..HELP!!

That is from your defrost drain either being clogged with food, or covered with ice. Behind the back wall in the freezer is a drain that empties underneath the fridge. If that drain gets blocked or froze over then the water will dump into the floor of the freezer and out the door gasket.

Ice maker not producing ice

Check your water valve first. It is usually in the back of the machine on the bottom. If your water valve is bad the it will not fill with water. When it does fill with water and it does rotate to drop ice but doesnt drop it that is probable the heater on the bottom of the ice maker not working.

Installed replacement Icemaker but will not dump new ice...

Either your freezer is not cold enough or you got a defective ice maker. It needs to be 15 degrees or colder to make ice. The water may be frooze but not cold enough to close the internal thermostat inside the ice maker. If your freezer is colder that 15 degrees, take the ice maker back to Sears, you got a lemon. Good luck!, Mack
