If you have not setup you're mic settings you will not be able to use the mic. How to setup & test you're mic.
Click the start button once, slide up to & click control panel. Once opened, find & double left click on Sounds and audio devices. It will open. Click the Voice tab. (Something like Realtek should be shown under default device. Click test hardware. Follow the onscreen instructions. When finished you should have a working mic.
If not, post back here so I can include more troubleshooting.

Wow... That is just bad Luck.
Your Files on Itunes are corrupted or just not there. i'm not sure how. your LaCie drive may have had a virus or some other such thing. try loading the files back on to your computer again, and make sure you put the files in the correct folder. one thing that worked for me when my itunes library failed, was when you copy the music files onto your computer, double click the the actual file icon, as if you wanted toplay them. this will tell itunes that the file still exists (and it may also play the song). your Parrellels problem is strange. i think that, like you mentioned, you may have to delete the previous VM installation, so to revert to the one you imported.
Good Luck...

Your board has a PCI-express slot as well as the integrated graphics, so you should be able to just plug the Asus card in and it should autmatically replace the onboard graphics; You'll need to install the software for the new card when Windows starts up. To ensure a trouble-free installation it might be advisable to uninstall the Radeon graphics from Device Manager first. Do you need help to do that?
