I am in an office with multiple phones setup. We are trying to call one of our extensions internally, but have no idea what the extension numbers is. How can i get this number? When I dial out, call displays only show our generic number. Any ideas?

What happens when you TRANSFER an outside call to that extension? If that works, you have Intercept issues which is handled with programming. If it still does not transfer, you have CF issues, started by a *710x command for both internal and outside calls.
It could be a simple as the phone has call forwarding to another extension set up on it or the direct line could also be programmed on the other set. Does the screen on the non- ringing m7208 display "forward to:xxx" or does it display the current day and time?
You could press the HOLD button and tell the other person to pick up...making sure that you only press it once. You could press the TRANSFER key and dial the 3 digit extension of the other phone, or you could program a DSS button (PROG button 1+ext STORE) on a left side button (the ones with lights) and just press that button without pressing HOLD.
It doesn't exactly work that way, but you can program the extensions back under the buttons. Pick a button that you want to save an extension under and press FEAT *2 the button and dial the 2 or 3 digit extension number. Now the button monitors the status of the extension. It will light whether it's in DND, or busy on an outside or internal call.
Sounds like the station is in do not disturb mode.Internal, external and transfered calls do not ring but the station can still make calls. there should be a lit button on the set maybe marked do not disturb or DND. press the button again to turn the led off. hope that helps
If the person you are trying to reach is speaking to another internal extension, none of the outside lines will show in use. If their phone is not Call-Forwarded to any other extension (i.e. second extension or VM), you will get a busy.
If you call the extension internally, does it just ring no answer?
You will need to go into programming: At extension 10 or 11: Feature 00 Left interom twice. #310 enter the extension you are having a problem with pres the 1 button the display will say 1-Assigned Feature 00 to exit.
