Calling manufacture is usually the best bet to find part numbers and distributors in your area

get the model and id go to marcone.com, repairclinic.com, and partselect.com are the most common for me.

most the time its called an ECB(electronic control board), PCB(power control board), most the time if its called a control panel they are refering to the decorative part cover, so look at the list carefully

MY 27 INCH VIKING PROFESSIONAL BUILT IN MICROWAVE OVEN ALLOWS ME TO SET THE TIME, BUT JUST COUNTS DOWN SILENTLY INSTEAD OF MICROWAVING WHEN PUSH START. CAN THIS BE REPAIRED? OR IS THERE A RESET?

Your bottom door switch is probably defective, or its mount is loose, misaligned, or broken.

This is usually caused by opening the door while it's cooking (instead of hitting "stop" first) or slamming the door.

See my help files on safety here, disassembly here, and door switches here.

If left plugged in, microwave fills timer screen with "7's" then scrolls "push start". Circuit board? Fix?

I would say that the number 7 button is either broken or stuck in. If still under warranty, take it back. Otherwise, contact the vendor of the microwave and ask them how much it would cost to fix it. Generally, it's cheaper to buy a new microwave than replace the circuit board, unless you can find second hand parts on eBay or a similar site.

Whirlpool microwave start button not working

There are 2 possibilities the first is that the button is locked. Some modern microwaves have lock buttons so children do not play with them. To unlock it you can try either holding th "start" button until you hear a tone of hold the "stop/end" button until you hear a tone. If that does not work it means that the button it self underneath of the plastic is broken or blown which means that it must either be repaired or the microwave must be replaced. For the price it may be more cost effective to replace it is the button is broken.

Emerson microwave, #MW8119SB, push start button to start cooking

Replace the fuse with a ceramic fuse from Home depot! costs less than $3 and it will fix the problem. I had all the same problems as everyone else, you name it my microwave had it! you must remember replace it with a ceramic fuse! not a glass one. I know people say its the switchboard and all that nonsence but I promise you, the fuse plays a majoe roll in the microwave not working properly. Even though it doesnt look broken, a junky fuse can cause your appliance to do very strange things. I replaced mine 6 months ago and it works like its fresh out of the box.
