SOURCE: Printing Problem

Cleaning cycles use ink. So it's no wonder it got worse, the ink level went down. Are you 100% sure that the black cart is full? they can give a wrong reading on occasion. what makes you think its full? Could be also that you need to replace the head- the part the cart fits into. generally they don't last more than 18 months.] Another possibility is that the black is indeed full, but dry. Put a wet sponge to the nozzle, see if it soaks up a decent amount of ink. Good luck

The reason the error is coming up is when you refill a cartridge it often causes the printer to misread the ink levels.

Also refilling often times causes problems with the cartridges including blocking the printheads in the actual cartridge. I would try to do a printhead cleaning - see document below (which is showing for another printer but the steps are the same) - and if unsuccessful they have most likely killed the cartridge and you will have to purchase a new one.

SOURCE: hp psc 750 won't print with new color ink cartridge

To solve the printing problem..

# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Hello Charles! Welcome to FixYa!

Actually as you told that you have replaced ink cartridge sometimes ago so with the new ink the effect of primary colors is more and when you print on the high quality the effect of primary color is more.
If you are printing the photos with software the try to print it on medium quality, even on low quality, The result will be fine. You can change the setting of printing in any software. After a time while when the ink will be used the result will automatically fine even on High quality.

I hope you have a clear picture in your mind.

When i print a pen and ink drawing it prints very lightly

Try changing the color quality of your printing under your printing preferences to best to get darker prints.
You might have set your printing quality to fast draft or fast normal.
If you do not know how to go to your printing preferences. Follow these steps.
1. Go to your Printers and Faxes(XP), Printers(Vista), Devices and Printers(Win7) 2. Right Click on Your Printer Icon 3. Click on Printing Preferences 4. On Print Quality, Choose Best. 5. Under Features -- Check the box for Print in Maximum DPI.

I hope this one helps. :)

I have a hp 3310 wireless. It prints in colour well but if you print in black most will be not clear although a line every so often is printed clearly. If you print the same document the same lines...

What you are trying to print is created in RGB. This means it is a photo that has been created in a color format that will ONLY print if you print it in full color. If you try to print your photo item in only black, it will only print what it sees in TV Colors, a combination of RED GREEN BLUE. This is why you will only get part of the image printed when only in black.

The only way to change it to print the whole image in all black, is to open the image you are trying to print in Photoshop or another professional grade photo program, and to change the settings of the image to CMYK, effectively, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black. Then, change the image once again - to GREYSCALE. This will effectively change all the colors to a SHADE OF GREY, in different HUES.

Save the picture as a JPEG, and then print from the desktop, from your picture viewing software that came with your computer, and you will see everything print out from the black ink, in greyscale.

Even though both the color & b/w cartridge are new my print job is very light

You can try setting that darkness in your menu for set up printing. That will make it darker. If this just happened after changing the ink clean the jets before setting the darkness.

HP Deskjet F4180 Color changes and lines in photo printing

HP always recommend that ink cartridge should be replace by original ink.

As this kind of scenario will occur if the ink will just be replace by a refill ink.

Can print paper but photos have green tint

If you refilled the ink cartridges, this can happen. Kodak uses pigment based inks, the others use dye based inks. Also, make sure your printer is set for normal photo printing, rather than special effects.

Printing very light

I am not sure your printer cartrige with head or not, and it is color or black, it there any color lost, in general you may try
1) if the cartridge seperate print head, find a cartridge spacial clean liquor or steam water and take out the ink cartridge, put a little into the ink hole and back the ink box test it,
2) if printer ink with head, take out and put in team water (just touch water surface to the head hole for 1 Hr. and then put back and test.
3) check printer manu adjust darkness to darker.

Printing issues with Epson r285

hi! try this! 1. go to control panel, select the printer, then right click the model of your printer, select properties, then select printing preferences.    in printing preference, select effect, then check the box of vivid photos. If you check vivid photos it will add enhancement to your printout. But thats not it, 2. open your photoshop, find your color settings, set your RGB color to (sRGB IEC61996- 2.1) then you CMYK color to (U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2) then off all your Color-management Policies and don't mind anything. 3. After your Edit your photos from RGB, then convert it to CMYK, then try printing it.
