Pull the power, remove the battery and turn it upside down over a towel or some paper towels. So the keyboard should be facing down into the towels. Do not try and turn it on until it dries. If you're technically savy I would recommend disassembling it and attempting to clean up whatever milk you can see.. then letting it dry. But to be honest it doesn't look good. -Ravi Shanghavi

Krups blender switch lights, but motor doesn't turn

Hi I take it that the bottom was not screwed tight when the milk spilled. Try unscrewing the bottom, take it apart and clean it in warm water and mild washing liquid . Put it together again and screw tightly. And off it should go.

Can't clean out spilled (and now sour) milk spill

Hi, I'm not familiar with these fridges, but is it possible to access it from the back, underneath the evaporator tray? It could even be that the milk has gone down the drain hole and into the evaporator tray itself. Its a small flat plastic tray that has raised sides, and will probably have water in in, sits just above the motor

My IBM T40 has got a liquid spillage on the keyboard while was operating !! , when I left it for some time then tried again, it powered up normally & worked very fine But once it turned off , it...

Once the liquid was spilled it was important to open and do a full clean up on the board. Now it seems there is moisture or shorting in the board due to this which can cause this malfunction.
So it is best to remove the keypad and check on the mother board. Clean the board and dry using a hair dryer. Make sure that the keyboard also is fully dry .
Reset only after the board is fully found to be dry . If the set wont power ON then some damge was done when it was powered the last time due to the spillover shorting.

You have dried milk in the lens area... u will have take chances on moving the lens around to get the dried milk from around it. If the lens is stuck out just lightly oush down on it and it should work.

How to Fix Spilt Liquid on bda25ce.jpg?
You accidentally knocked fruit drink or a late night glass of milk on your laptop or your child spilled a good portion of milk directly into your keyboard. You hear a popping noise, the screen goes black. Water by itself is not as bad as milk or juice, both of which are corrosive/acidic, or coffee, tea, soda, etc.
First and most important -Calm Down and unplug the computer from its power source.
Disconnect it from the power cord and remove the battery. If needs, please remove the keyboard. The old adage - Water and Electricity don't mix - is quite true. For your laptop spilled water, let your laptop dry. Do not attempt to turn on the computer for at least 72 hours. Let it sit in a cool, dry place. If you disassembled the laptop, reassemble it after 72 hours have passed.

My daughter spilled milk on my cpmputer screen

no, the damage is irreversible. You can have the LCD controller board change out which will resolve the pixelation. However, the cost of doing that outweight the value of the monitor.

Spilled Liquid (milk) on IBM T42 Thinkpad's touch cursor and controls. Controls now don't work. The cursor works but the right and left click don't. Any ideas how to solve? I took it apart and didn't see...

Hi Jim,

Not sure I can tell you anything you don't already know or want to hear but the first thing I would do is flip the laptop over so any moisture from the spill will seep out of the keyboard etc... The problem being that if the laptop was powered up when the spill occurred, there is no way of knowing where that spill ended up or more importantly...what damage it may have caused... By flipping it upside down.. any residual fluid may drain out and you may get lucky and everything come back to life but the downside is that the fluid could conceivably caused a short someplace on the circuitry beneath the keyboard ... ( hopefully that is not the case) but there is always that possibility... If the only thing that is not working is the right and left command buttons... then you may be able to bypass them with an external mouse... With the power shut off to the laptop... try cleaning that area with alcohol and let air dry for a while... you may have residue beneath the two keys that are causing them to stick or always be on /off so pressing them has no effect... Not sure any of this will help you but it may give you some ideas of what to try.. Good Luck...
