Question about Cuisinart Microwave Ovens

1 Answer

I sent a delux stainless steel can opener to your warranty department on 18th February, 2010 with letter of explanation that it was broken upon purchase. Part of it was returned back to me 8th March, 2010 (3 weeks later, whereby nothing was done, they just returned the can opener with no lever. I called and left a message, nobody returned my call, I called again and spoke with customer service, who informed me a second part would be mailed to me and basically what was my problem, it made little or no sense that they would ship only part of the can opener back and not the whole thing, but being a nice guy I accepted their feeble excuse. I never reveived the lever in the mail. I have since called again and asked to speak with a Manager and was told one would get back to me. It is not 19th August, 2010 (6 months later) and still not a word. I have my can opener in a box and wish to return it and get a refund so I can buy another one that works and a make whereby I can achieve some custoemr service if it doesn't work. I am totally appauled by the so-called customer service your company claims to have and the fact that no one at the Woodbridge office understand the meaning of the word. I would like to hear your comments as I am a very dissatisfied customer and don't have the time to deal with these issues. Thank you Regards, Elaine Shaw 905-884-2323 X226

Hi, where did you buy this product from, this is a help site where people who have problems with equipment they have bought want help, we dont actually sell anything we have no catalogue or shop.

the way this site works is you post your problem in the forum for the experts to see and then one of them will pick your problem and offer you some help and guidance on solving your problem.

the experts dont work for the site we just sign into the site to offer our advice and guidance, we dont actually sell anything.

so the only help this site can off you is if you tell us the company you brought this product from then we can pass on a complaint saying that you have spoken to us and you are not happy with the product and would like a replacement or refund. But without you telling us the company involved we cant do anything.

If the company passed you onto this site to make a complaint then i need to warn you that it sounds like they are trying to fob you off and pass you onto someone else who cant really do anything for you,

say your car broke down and you didnt know the cause i could then help you find the cause and tell you what you need to do to solve your problem, or if your washing machine has an error code then i can help you find and solve the problem.

But as for getting a refund this is not possible from this site as we do not sell or endorse any products we only offer help and advice to people who have a technical or fault problem with a product and as you want a refund then all you have to do is contact the company that sold you the product.

if you would like me to contact the company for you and pass a complaint on then your going to need to give me the companies name and details and also your details so as they can contact you to resolve any problem you have

im sorry i cant give you a refund but if you look at our site we dont actually sell anything we only help you solve any problems you may have with a product, now i know you have a problem with a product but we cant offer you any refund as we never sold you anything and we never sell anybody anything, so i that respect i cant help you

but if the company told you to contact us for a refund then this is something different and something we could take up as this is something they shouldnt do and they would be breaking the law by passing this site off as the site that sold you something.

please let me know what you would like me to do

Insurace tardy response - I was in an accident on 21st February. A delivery van from a company RTT Logistics smashed into me at a red robot, their Insurance does not respond to my queries. I have now...

You should contact a lawyer about this. They will take it on contingency. OR you can start yourself by sending them a certified letter stating the accident and requesting action. NOTE do NOT admit to anything in the letter that you sent them!! Just state that you were involved in an accident, the date and time and location and it involved their truck. You are intending to file suit if this is not answered. Give them 14 days to respond.

Kenmore 62463 / 721.62463201 Stainless Steel 1200 Watts Microwave. My daughter used it as a timer for reading and set it to cook for 30 minutes with nothing in it. It turns on but is loud and no longer...

You probably fried the magnetron(it actually makes the microwaves that do the cooking). I bet you will find the magnet is broken(from excessive heat). There should be a diagnostic guide sheet somewhere inside the housing(due to running production changes, this is a guide for the pros to test the power supply, magnetron, etc with an ohmmeter to determine which is defective.

KitchenAid KCMS1555RSS stopped heating. Everthing else works, full display works, time counts down, turntable rotates, light comes on, etc. but no heat. makes loud hum. Magnatron? Cost to replace? Unit is...

If it is making a loud noise, check the diode and magnetron for damage.
The fault may be just the diode and a reasonable cost will be involved. If it is the magnetron, depending upon where you purchase one from will command the price.
Hope that helps.

Check to make sure one of the plastic hooks on the door was not broken off. If both door hook latches are functional then the most likely cause of your problem is one of the latch switches located behind the control panel. These switches will fail if the oven user opens the door frequently BEFORE the cook cycle ends. Always push STOP/RESET before opening any microwave oven door.

Broken door handle, have part but can't put it on.

Thats disgusting mate! The doors are either clip together, plastics or if stainless as per photo, it would require opening the case, removal of door then prising off the fascia trim to get to the handles.

I'd ring them back up, that is not a user servicable part as it will bugger the finish trying to separate the doort.

Best of luck

Amama 2.0 Cu ft. Radarange Microwave model# UXA3036BAB

This model does not list Stainless Steel as a feature. Stainless Steel is used in the interior (CAVITY) of a Microwave if it is a Combination Convection/Microwave Oven. The Convection Oven can reach temperatures of 400+ degreesF. This Temperature would MELT the paint off a painted interior.
Stainless Steel can be tested with a Magnet. It will not be attracted or "Stick" to Stainless.
Hope this answers your concerns!

Door button broken

It may be the lever behind the door open button, but either way, you can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your model number here: Your model does not show up, but you can check GT4185 to see how the parts work. If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa:
