Question about Ingersoll Rand Electrical Supplies
To break the marriage of the units there should be a screen holes on the gen head remove the screen and look inside there are 2 type of mountings 1 is a rubberized gear looking spline this is a damage for shock loads from the engine they just slide out the other #2 is a flex plate type with bolts to the engine fly wheel you need to remove these bolts you will have to rotate the engine some times to get to them all when this is done at the bottom inside the ger use wood shins between the armature and the commutator the metal parts be careful for to damage the windings some times the access holes have a alignment where you can place a shaft and run under the gen head shaft to support it then unbolt the gen head from the engine bell housing wrap the gen with plastic till a new engine is ready to install hope this helps
