Question about JVC Televison & Video
Box is for TEXT. It is selected under the menu setting Closed Captions; This was a feature in a lot of sets but never got off the ground--idea was to transmit books or text etc.
Two places it can come from: CC settings in set---Look to see if TEXT 1 is selected. NOTE: TEXT SHOULD ONLY APPEAR ON SOME CHANNELS LIKE PBS OR ESPN WITH SPORTING EVENTS.
locate and set it to off or something other than TEXT 1.
IF you are using a box to supply signal, it has the same settings: problem either in settings on set or box if one is used.
Let me know if you have questions and if this told you something you did not know, rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.
