You can replace the chip on the drum unit. Or the drum unir itself.
Google a business called " the parts drop". They will have both the chip and or the drum cartridge. It is not resettable with a diagnostic code.

My workcentre pro 416 is printing all copies as all black.


It sounds to me like the High Voltage Power Supply, Biasing Ground, or Blanking Exposure Lamp may be a fault. You could also have a problem with the Digital Scanner unit. But, there is nothing that you can do yourself: EXCEPT: If the unit takes a Toner Cartridge that includes the drum, I would try replacing that first. Then if no joy, your going to have to call out the big guns. Good Luck!!

I have Workcenter PRO 416 and display says change toner but after replacing toner,the same message comes up.


I had that happen before. It turns out the refilled toner cartridge I was using was the problem. When I bought the cartridge I thought I was getting a new one. They were refills. You may want to try another cartridge if you have one.

MY xerox work center pro copier 416 works well while photocopying,but i need a driver to operate from my PC

It sounds like you are replacing the toner cartidges NOT the Drum Unit. Drum is located behind the toner cartidge and you will see it after removing toner. Pretty common mistake :)

try reseting the nvram. if no luck after that try changing the image control board.. with another one if it's avaliable.(maybe you have another machine around. If not then conect your printer to the network reset the printer so you can get an ip address.. usually it's a 192.168.*.* Then type that ip address 192.168.*.* into the top of your web address bar and you should be able to see you printer. If not i would change the image control board because it might be bad.

Can't get the old drum to come out of the copier. It seems as if it is caught up on something. I have a workcentre pro 416


When you open the right side door, look toward the back, about 4 inches above the drum. You will see a pin about 1.8th of an inch in diameter. It is spring loaded but is most likely stuck in. Just pull it out gently and it should slide out, releasing the drum shutter, that should allow you to remove the drum wheh you depress the handle.
That is the most common reason that drum will stick.

Just sendig this to get your message off the baord. I sent you the most likely problem.
I will add you may want to see if the pin assembly is broken. You can clean that shafe and lubricate it.
