My computer is not recognizing my lg xenon gr500, the usb works but the computer is not recognizing it

ORIGINAL: We mean, to use the sim card that was originally given to you by your network/service provider along with the LG GR500 Xenon.

3 - Enter the unlock code twice.

2. Double click the exe file to run it.
3. Follow the instructions given to you.
5. When installation has completed, the program will open and you can connect your LG Xenon GR500 without any problem.

There is a super easy solution, if you are using windows  try using a live cd, which is a bootable cd. Here is the link to a good one: http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/linuxmint.com/stable/8/LinuxMint-8.iso

just download and burn onto a disc using an iso burner (http://www.freeisoburner.com/)

then boot up the disk and plug in your phone, the os should recognize the phone as a mass storage device then you can retrieve your pictures as you would a usb 

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, THIS FIXED IT. I HAD TO TURN THE DTMF TONES ON.

Goal:
Enable or Disable Touch Tones (DTMF) for the LG Xenon (GR500) Fix:
LG Xenon (GR500) Keypad Layout

Enable or Disable DTMF tones

1. From the standby screen, tap the menu icon.
   
   
   
2. Tap the settings icon.
   
   
   
3. Tap Call.
   
   
   
4. Tap On or Off.
   

get a memory card adapter you can get one for reasonably cheap at walmart and hook that up to your computer don't use a cable that will not access files on your memory card

Go to settings ->connections -> USB (on the phone) and select the third (last) option. Then disconnect the cable an hook it up again. Once connected you should see all the options.

check your owners manual to make sure that the card you are using is compatible with the phone. also check to see what the maximum size card is that you can use. a lot of phones are only able to support up to 2gb.

Try this:
First go to your menu.
Go to Settings
Choose More
Choose Connection
Choose USB connection.
Start the process of connecting the cable to your computer again.
